It’s the final Feedback Friday of 2025, and we’d like to thank everyone who has taken the time to share their feedback with Locala.

Thank you to our services for your continued commitment to providing safe, effective and compassionate care, and to our service users, friends, family members and carers for sharing your experiences. Your feedback helps us understand what’s working well and where we can improve, so we can continue to meet the needs of our communities.

Listening to feedback makes a real difference. Every comment helps shape our services and supports us in improving patient experience and quality of care.

Thank you for working with us throughout 2025. We look forward to continuing to listen and learn in the year ahead, with patient experience at the heart of everything we do.

25/12/2025

Today, we want to take a moment to thank our service users, colleagues, and partners for the role you play in supporting Locala. We know this time of year can mean different things to different people, and however you’re spending today, we hope you’re able to find a moment of rest, comfort, or connection.

We also want to say a big thank you to our colleagues who are working over the festive period to care for and support others. Your dedication and kindness do not go unnoticed.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to being here for our communities in the year ahead.

Be prepared this festive season – make sure your medicine cabinet is well stocked with supermarket essentials like paracetamol, ibuprofen and rehydration solutions.

Check in on vulnerable friends, family and neighbours who may need a helping hand to stay safe and well at home during the festive season.

If you’ve had time out of work due to illness, family, or anything else, we understand how daunting it can feel to start again.

That’s why we work with you, one-to-one, with no deadlines or pressure.
You don’t need to have all the skills, the experience, or the answers.

You just need to be open to exploring what might come next — and we’ll support you all the way.

We’re celebrating a fantastic achievement 🎉

Our Tissue Viability Service has secured a £12,000 innovation award to support a new project focused on improving understanding of wound care for Asian women with lower limb conditions in the Kirklees community.

The project will explore potential disparities in diagnosis, treatment, healing outcomes and patient experience, helping to shape more equitable and effective care.

A huge congratulations to the team for leading this important and impactful work - we are so proud and can't wait to see how this work progresses! 👏

Feedback Friday 🌟

Today we’d like to shout out Naomi from Locala's Bladder and Bowel Health Service, who received this wonderful feedback:

💬 “Naomi was fantastic at listening to my needs and worries. We worked in collaboration to find a solution that worked best for me and I have been problem-free for months after daily/weekly struggles with bowel and bladder issues. Absolutely fantastic nurse who was kind, understanding and had a great sense of humour. Thank you.”

A huge thank you to everyone working across our Bladder and Bowel Care Service. Feedback like this highlights the amazing support, dedication and care you provide to patients every day. 💙

Some families face cultural, practical, or information barriers that make vaccination harder to access. At Locala, we’re helping change that by bringing our clinical van directly into local communities.

We visit places like supermarket car parks and school events, offer options such as non-porcine flu vaccines and vegetarian MMR, and support parents with clear information and help with consent forms. We also send SMS invites so families can drop in at a time that works for them.

This approach is making a real difference. Hundreds of vaccines have been delivered through our van, uptake among 2–3-year-olds is improving, and families appreciate the convenience, privacy, and trust.

For us, it’s about more than vaccines – it’s about fairness, dignity, and working together to make healthcare accessible for everyone.
