Residents and families had a fabulous time decorating our Christmas tree with lots of red, green and gold to keep with our Tartan theme. What made it an extra special afternoon was a very talented duo playing bagpipes and a drum - it was a wonderful afternoon for all.

Residents have been enjoying some festive activities decorating gingerbread and playing a game of 'guess the Christmas Pressie'.
This week we started to decorate the house in tinsel, lights and all things festive in preparation for the arrival of our Christmas tree next week in which will be decorated by residents and families.

This morning residents enjoyed a special festive continental breakfast with croissants, fresh fruits, Lebkuchen and Brioche. One resident commented "This is a very posh breakfast, I feel like I'm in a five star hotel". All residents enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the dining room and in their rooms. 😋😋

The naughty elves managed to sneak into Saxonwood this morning and have been causing havoc!! 🤣🤣🤣 Luckily our worker elves saved the day and ensured residents were able to enjoy their game of countdown whilst they started to decorate the home. 🎄🎅🥳👏😃

This is an incredible 5⭐️ review we've received today from a friend of a resident. "Saxonwood is an excellent home with caring, committed staff. Meals are varied and nutritious and chefs are well aware of residents' likes and dislikes. The care my friend gets is second to none. Rooms are well-kept and very clean. Staff at Saxonwood are unfailingly kind and compassionate, and I would not hesitate to recommend Saxonwood to anyone seeking care for a friend or relative. Saxonwood is really a home from home."
