The Thrive Programme puts great emphasis on people regularly setting fairly simple and unfancy goals and putting effort in to achieve those goals. No need to always think you have to set a goal of climbing a mountain or speaking in front of 200 people!

Here’s one from me – I received this book at Christmas. 700 pages or so. I’m not the kind of person who can read this book in a few sittings, so I said to myself “come on, let’s finish this by end of March”. This is a cracking read, I should say. Some weeks I read loads and other weeks I hardly read at all. But you know what, I finished it a few days ago. Yes, it crept into April but all good.

It’s inspired me to pick up another book that has been winking at me on the bookshelf the last few years, “The Beekeeper of Aleppo”.

What simple goals have you just achieved or just starting? The less fancy, the better. Let me know!

What does Thriving really mean?

A common misconception a lot of people hold is that you are only thriving and happy if you achieve something spectacular (like climb a mountain) or if you hang out with a cool crowd of people.

It’s time to set the record straight! Thriving is not about being validated in those kinds of ways.

It’s a consistent outcome that arises when you own your attitude in every situation you find yourself in, stretch yourself out of your comfort zone, overcome limiting beliefs, keep your self-esteem high and cope with the stresses and strains of everyday life.

Thriving is really about developing a specific skillset that allows you to take control over your own experiences and your own life. People that are thriving think and act differently because they are (psychologically) empowered.

But making these changes isn’t possible if we don’t do the work. You have the chance wherever you are in life to go beyond where you are and what you think is possible. It’s yours whenever you’re ready for it. Choose to learn the skillset you need in order to make your life happen.

Really positive testimonial of a recent client who came to me feeling constantly flat and drained, with a resulting negative impact on his work and family life. His words show that he turned things around – Eric your hard work paid off! It was a pleasure taking you through the course.

Can anyone think of a time their heart rate felt like it went through the roof as they stepped up to do a talk or make a presentation? Did you cope? Did you get by?

In my early 30s, presenting started becoming a regular occurrence and I didn't like it at all. In my case, a few bad experiences led me to avoid presenting or back out with an excuse at the last minute. During that period, each time I presented, my body went into a major “flight or fight” mode and I didn’t know how to deal with the feelings.

I remember going on presentation courses that drilled the importance of preparation and gave me some exercises that taught me to breathe from the diaphragm. An expert even advised me to imagine everyone was naked to defuse the situation! Whilst these helped to an extent, it didn’t address the root cause. I was lacking confidence and no amount of preparation or breathing exercises could truly solve my problem.

The most predictable way to present confidently is by gradually building up your coping skills and self-esteem. Your mind begins to re-wire and understand that you can cope in a variety of situations. You can achieve this by going through The Thrive Programme.

Send me a DM if you want to find out how the course can help.

In the next few weeks I will be sharing various examples of the life-changing impact that The Thrive Programme has had on my past clients. Before that, below I clarify the work that I do and how I can help.

➡️ Hello ! Who am I?
My name is Simon Child, and I am a fully qualified coach of The Thrive Programme (TTP), a simple, evidence-based course that will teach you the skills to overcome any issues or symptoms that are negatively impacting your life. After just a few weeks, it will allow you to thrive and live the life you want to.

➡️ What is The Thrive Programme (TTP)?
TTP teaches you how to be powerful, confident, and calm in any situation in your life. It is a mental health programme that transforms your mindset.

The Thrive Programme is quite the opposite to counselling or therapy and is the main reason it is so successful. YOU are taught the skills, helping YOU to build strong psychological and emotional foundations enabling YOU to change your life and achieve want you want to in life. YOU learn how to cope when times are difficult. YOU never lose that knowledge and can prevent mental health problems from arising in the future.

As your coach, I will guide you through the simple step-by-step course, throw in lots of extra points of learning, track your progress and inspire you to go through with all your new goals.

➡️ My specialism:
Over the years, my work has increasingly focused on the following:
• Unfulfilled working professionals – anyone who currently feels they are struggling to make an impact at work or feels something is holding them back.
• Performance anxiety - Anyone who currently experiences “choking” feelings or panic attacks before or during events (e.g. presentations, exams, sporting occasions)
• Overwhelmed parents who currently believe they are unable to cope
• Anyone who currently thinks they are a serial worrier

If one (or more) of these sounds familiar, then the Thrive Programme is for you and I can help you.

During the programme you will learn that that you can easily get rid of your symptoms. They will disappear once you develop a better understanding about why it is happening and then build up your self-esteem, self-confidence, and the skills to cope.

➡️ How long is the course?
You can expect to complete The Thrive Programme over approx. 6 sessions, each one lasting about an hour. In between, I will ask you to put lots of effort in!

*Free initial consultation* – I always encourage a free initial consultation, lasting approximately 45 mins. This is an informal discussion where we can discuss your issue and I can answer any questions you may have about The Thrive Programme.

➡️ Where am I based?
I offer my services mostly over Zoom. I also have face to face meetings from my clinic in Penn, a village in between Beaconsfield and High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. It’s also within easy reach of Central London.

➡️ About me:
I’m a dedicated family man, finance professional of 20+ years, sports lover (400m hurdles anyone?), ex-worrier, intro-extrovert & explorer all rolled into one.
