A deliciously nourishing and nurturing weekend yoga retreat with the frankly amazing and the lovely ladies of ❀️

I also enjoyed the opportunity to lead a joint pain, bone health and building strength practice this afternoon, including the opportunity to 'hide away from the world' at the end of the asana practice (if you know, you know) before reading the lovely River Song poem by the talented .harrison5 during savasana.

This workshop supports women to take some time for themselves, to take stock and find a sense of acceptance, self and stability during what can be a challenging time.

There is time for a women's circle, breathwork, yoga movement, journalling and meditation.

No previous yoga experience is necessary.

With the weather cold and wet outside, spending the afternoon in the warm and welcoming studio hosting a Yoga for Menopause workshop focusing on hot flashes, menorage and night sweats was the perfect place to be.

After our asana practice, some hormone-balancing chai balls gave us a mid-afternoon boost before we continued with the women's circle, breathwork, journalling and meditation.

This week we celebrate World Menopause Day which raises awareness about what support and options are available for women during this transition phase.

It can also serve as a reminder to pause and take stock - to consider what makes you happy and do more of that, and what is not serving you and think how you can let go of that.

For me, getting out into the fresh Scottish air at weekends walking complements my regular yoga practices. I'm in a women's walking group which enables me to meet lots of different women and share our life experiences and interests.

My Yoga for Menopause workshops provide a time and space to come together with other women, to share, to practise and to leave feeling nurtured, supported, informed and empowered.

The next workshop focuses on heat-related menopause symptoms but is suitable for any woman experiencing menopause symptoms.
