Job Title: Care Practitioner

Weekend work available 08.00-14.00 & 19.00-22:00

Location: Beauly, Muir of Ord, Conon Bridge, Maryburgh, Dingwall areas

What We Offer:
Competitive Pay: A leading rate of £13.60 per hour. Paid for the full shift, regardless of client cancellations or hospital stays and paid travel time

Mileage Allowance: 45p per paid mile to cover travel costs.

Continuity of rota shifts - continuity is crucial for building trust and ensuring consistent quality of care. Rota planning aims to have the same staff members follow the same clients as much as possible, to improve the quality of care

Good work-life supported by flexible Working: Guaranteed hours available to suit all lifestyles. Compressed days also available, improving work-life balance.

Become a member of the PVG scheme – paid for by the company

Career Development: Formal qualifications are not required as full, professional training and funded qualifications given, including SVQ2/3

Requirements:
Driving Licence & Vehicle: You must have a valid driving licence and access to your own reliable car for work.

Supporting with meal preparation and medication assistance
Providing companionship and emotional support.

Contrast Care is a care company based in the north of Scotland, providing support to elderly and vulnerable people living in the community. As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the wellbeing of our clients, we are currently focusing on identifying and addressing malnutrition.

Some individuals face challenges in preparing meals due to reduced mobility, low motivation, or other health-related factors. While identifying those at risk is an important first step, we recognise the need to provide practical support. For some clients, this may mean receiving a home-cooked meal prepared by a volunteer.

Food Train offers this service across Scotland, connecting volunteers with people who would benefit from this support. We are pleased to be working with Food Train, who have agreed to recruit volunteers in the areas supported by Contrast Care: Dingwall, Muir of Ord, Conon and Beauly.

Brightwork are recruiting for a client based in Edinburgh.

Immediate start is available as there is a requirement for a canteen based Chef for a long term booking with no end date.

Hours of work are on a rota and can be:
7am-3pm
10am-6pm
7am-6pm
Working 5 days over 7.

Pay rate of £16.00 per hour (£16.80 for weekends)

Interested candidates must have previous Chef experience; ideally qualified to SVQ Level 2 or equivalent. Must have a valid food hygiene certificate (elementary minimum).

Main duties include preparation and cooking of all meals, stock control, HAACP duties etc.

We provide support to our clients in their own homes in the community. This can be personal care, meal preparation and/or assistance with medications.
