As we head into winter months, the days are getting shorter and the temperatures are dropping. Here are a few simple tips to help you keep safe and well:
✅ Keep warm – Layer up with cosy clothes, use blankets, and try to heat the rooms you spend most time in.
✅ Check on others – A quick call or visit to a neighbour, friend, or family member can make a big difference.
✅ Stay active – Gentle movement, even indoors, helps circulation and keeps you feeling brighter.
✅ Be prepared – Make sure you’ve got cold and flu remedies to hand, and stock up on essentials if bad weather is forecast.
✅ Stay visible – If you’re out and about in the darker evenings, wear something reflective so drivers can see you.
✅ Check your transport – Make sure your 🚗 car is winter-ready (tyres, lights, antifreeze, and wipers) and give your 🚲 bicycle a once-over too (brakes, lights, and reflectors) to keep journeys safe in the darker, wetter months.
