Medical tattoo to restore the ni**le and ar**la following a bi lateral mastectomy.

FAQโ€™S

How long will it take? Bi lateral tattoo- up to 4 hours

How long does it last? The tattoo can last up to several years, but gradually fades over time. Top up appointments are usually required every 2years to restore colour.

Is it painful? Most clients are comfortable, and are not in any pain, however I can use a numbing cream to ensure pain is minimal if you are experiencing pain or sensitivity during your appointment.

How soon after surgery can I come in? I advise you wait a minimum of three months post surgery to ensure your skin is fully healed.

Firstly I discuss my clientโ€™s desired ni**le size, placement, and pigment colours that complement their skin and discuss realistic expectations.

We use quality pigments from UK's top brand in pigments- . I also assess the clientโ€™s skin type and any scar patterns or scar tissue that may require more technical skill to achieve the end result.

When a design is agreed upon, we will then use an oscillated tattoo needle covered in non-toxic colour pigment to insert the ink below the outer layer of the skin. The actual ni**le isnโ€™t being reconstructed, but it will appear that way when we are done!

Here's some things you want to check for:

โ€ข A lump or swelling in the breast, upper chest or armpit.
โ€ข A change to the skin, such as puckering or dimpling.
โ€ข A change in the colour of the breast โ€“ the breast may look red or inflamed.
โ€ข A ni**le change, for example it has become pulled in (inverted)
โ€ข Rash or crusting around the ni**le.
โ€ข Unusual liquid (discharge) from either ni**le.
โ€ข Changes in size or shape of the breast.

If you have any of these symptoms, it's best to get them checked as soon as possible by your doctor.
