MoveFit Pilates Bedford's leading Pilates studio dedicated to Pilates Reformer and mat-based Pilates movement. Class Pregnancy and post-natal sessions also available on request.

Pilates classes and 1-2-1 training with an experienced Body Control Pilates teacher. Class sizes are kept small to ensure clients get close supervision and the attention they need. Classes range from beginners and gentle Pilates, up to more advanced Pilates. Classes take place at our studio, and online via Zoom if clients require. Full schedule of Pilates Reformer classes and personal training available. Private sessions can be booked for Pilates Reformer or mat-based Pilates- contact the studio for details and free consultation.

I taught and filmed classes today wearing a 24-hour ECG yesterday — wires everywhere and not my usual Pilates accessory.

I’m looking into some palpitations and an irregular heartbeat. It may be linked to perimenopause, but it’s important to rule out anything else properly.

This time of year is busy, and so many of us are brilliant at looking after everyone else — family, work, friends — but this is a little reminder that we need to look after ourselves too ❤️

If something feels new, unusual or worrying, please talk to a medical professional. Don’t ignore it or brush it off.

Bodies change, hormones are powerful, and sometimes self-care looks like showing up… with a few extra stickers attached.

6 Things I Don’t Care About as a Pilates Instructor (and Neither Should You!)

1. How “good” you are at Pilates.
There’s no gold medal for the best roll-up. Progress isn’t about perfection, it’s about feeling stronger, moving better, and enjoying the process.

2. What you look like while working out.
Messy hair, mismatched socks, or taking breaks when needed, it’s all part of it. No one’s judging - least of all me! (I’m usually in old running vests, and a pair of shorts when I’m getting my own workouts in).

3. How flexible you are.
Being bendy isn’t the goal. Strength, stability, and feeling good in your body matter far more than touching your toes.

4. What time of day you work out.
Morning, evening, whenever you can fit it in, it all counts. Pilates isn’t about rigid schedules; it’s about making movement work for you and your busy life.

5. If you need modifications.
Listening to your body is a skill, not a weakness. Whether you take a lower intensity option or push yourself harder, it’s all still Pilates.

6. If you “fall off track.”
Life happens. Skipped a few sessions? No big deal, just pick up where you left off. Strength isn’t built by never stopping, but by always starting again.

You’re doing great. Keep going!

A sweaty face on your feed....just popping up to say this is my first run in 2 weeks.

December is wild, silly season.

Family life. Busy.
Work life. Busy.
Viruses. Plenty!
School events....mega busy.

Plus the regular stuff keeps ticking on that has no relation to Christmas.

If your workout routine has suffered, it's ok. Ride the wave of the season, and do what you can.

Busy women over 40 - this is for you.

I've been teaching pilates for a decade now, and I LOVE it. But I've realised something important: Pilates alone isn't enough.

Women in midlife need strength, mobility, and heart health - all in a way that fits into real life: work, family, commitments, and busy diaries.

Most women I meet don't have time for long workouts or endless classes. They need simple, effective training that creates real change you can feel.

That's why I created Train with Anna - an online space providing Pilates, strength, and intensity workouts designed specifically for women over 40.

I'm also training as a PT, and I'll be sharing the journey as I go - what I'm learning and how it's shaping the workouts I create.
