MoveFit Pilates Bedford's leading Pilates studio dedicated to Pilates Reformer and mat-based Pilates movement. Class Pregnancy and post-natal sessions also available on request.

Pilates classes and 1-2-1 training with an experienced Body Control Pilates teacher. Class sizes are kept small to ensure clients get close supervision and the attention they need. Classes range from beginners and gentle Pilates, up to more advanced Pilates. Classes take place at our studio, and online via Zoom if clients require. Full schedule of Pilates Reformer classes and personal training available. Private sessions can be booked for Pilates Reformer or mat-based Pilates- contact the studio for details and free consultation.

We're so good at adding things to our diets - more protein, more greens, more supplements.

The stressor we don’t measure… 📱

Not work.
Not food.
Not exercise.

Our phones.

The constant checking.
The tiny hits of distraction.

The way we’re never fully “off” — even when we’re resting, exercising, or sitting with people we care about.

Every glance keeps the brain slightly alert.

Every notification pulls at our attention.
And over time, that background stimulation adds up.

This isn’t a judgement post. 🙋🏻‍♀️ Hand up — I’m working on this too.

But if we’re serious about better focus, better sleep, better recovery and feeling calmer in our bodies… we can’t ignore the role of being constantly “on”.

Maybe the shift isn’t doing more.

Maybe it’s checking less.

This week has been a challenging one.

I've not been able to do my usual training, lifting, pilates, running...all had to be set aside.

Today was my window.

Yes, the weather is most definitely yuck.

I briefly thought could go to the gym, or studio and workout indoors. But....outside is my happy place.

And after walking Pippa 🐕 I thought, "this isn't too bad, no such thing as bad weather...etc..."

And off I went looping round Bedford Park for a cheeky 5k.

I loved it. Even the rain felt like a fun challenge, jumping over puddles.

Remember, it's all about perspective. How we choose to view the events and circumstances out of our control. And what we choose to do in those circumstances.

Yesterday there was an incident in our car park when a vehicle (not a studio member) collided with our boundary wall.

Thankfully no one was injured and the studio was not occupied at the time.

Walls can be repaired. We are simply grateful that everyone is safe.

A big thank you to our lovely neighbours and friends who alerted us so quickly and checked in.
We really appreciate your support.
