This morning, we were delighted to host an information stand in the Main Foyer of the Royal Victoria Hospital showcasing the wide range of support and information offered by the Belfast Trust Cancer Support Service; based in the Macmillan Support & Information Centres.πŸ’š

It was wonderful to connect with people and share details about the support available for cancer patients, their families, and carers.

We had a fantastic staff and volunteer training session today at the Macmillan Support and Information Centre, delivered by The Rainbow Project and Northern Ireland Pancreatic Cancer (Nipanc).
It's always valuable to keep learning about how we can support and meet the needs of those affected by cancer. Today's session was both insightful and inspiring.
Thank you to Amie Martin and Joe Henson from the The Rainbow Project for the excellent work they do in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community and giving us a greater understanding. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ πŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ
Thank you also to Megan Hetherington from Nipanc who highlighted the support available to people affected by pancreatic cancer. We really appreciate your time, knowledge and dedication!

🧠 International Brain Tumour Awareness Week 2025 🧠

Early recognition of symptoms such as persistent headaches, vison changes, seizures, or memory problems is vital. The earlier a cancer is picked up, the easier it is to treat it and the more likely the treatment is to be successful.

If something doesn’t feel right speak to your GP immediately.
