McCloskey Hugh (Del-Boy), passed away peacefully at hospital 24th April 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband to the late Kathleen. Loving father to Michael and the late Edward. Much-loved brother, father-in-law to Colleen, uncle and friend to many. R.I.P. Hughie will arrive home to 9 Dungloe Crescent on Tuesday evening. Today we welcomed our bank managers to the office for a visit and a closer look at how we carry out our day-to-day work.

It was a great opportunity to give them a tour of our facilities, share how we support families in our care, and have an open chat with the team. The lads also took some time to hear about the latest offers and services Danske Bank currently has available for customers and businesses.

We always value the chance to build strong relationships with local partners and to share a better understanding of the work we do behind the scenes.

We, the family of the late Rita Mcilwaine would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who supported us during our recent loss of our Mum.

We are deeply grateful to all our family, friends & neighbours and to all who called to our home from near and far, sent Mass cards, messages, food & sandwiches, kept us in your thoughts & prayers and shared wonderful memories of our mum. Your generosity and kindness have brought us great comfort at such a difficult
time.

Thank you to Fr Brian Watters and Fr Joe McGugian for celebrating such a beautiful and meaningful Requiem Mass, Mairead Weir and Eimear Fallon for the beautiful singing. Also to the Glenown Restaurant for the refreshments after the funeral

Finally, we would like to express our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to Mallon Brothers Funeral Directors. The service they provided to us was exceptional. They truly went above and beyond in every aspect of the arrangements, taking care of everything on our behalf with such professionalism, dignity and compassion. Mallons guided us every step of the way, offering support throughout the wake and funeral. They checked in with us daily and ensured we were ok every step of the way. To all the staff at Mallons - Thank you, we will forever be grateful for your support and kindness.

Ritaโ€™s Monthโ€™s Mind Mass will be held on Tuesday 28th April at 7:30pm in St Peter's Cathedral, Falls Road.
