When it comes to medical repatriation, air and road transport often take the spotlight, but sometimes, the safest and most comfortable way home is by sea.

For patients who are stable but need extra care and rest, ferry repatriation can offer a calmer, more dignified journey. Our medical teams travel alongside patients, providing continuous support from departure to arrival - ensuring care never stops, even at sea.

Diabetes affects millions and awareness starts with understanding the signs.

On World Diabetes Day, we’re shining a light on this year’s theme - “Diabetes and the Workplace.” With over five million people in the UK living with diabetes, it’s crucial that employers and colleagues alike understand how to support those managing the condition and help create healthier, more informed workplaces.

Know your risk, recognise the symptoms, and take action early.

Some of the most common symptoms of diabetes include:

✔️ Feeling very thirsty
✔️ Urinating more often, especially at night
✔️ Feeling very tired
✔️ Weight loss and loss of muscle mass
✔️ Blurred vision

If you notice any of these signs, don’t wait - speak to your GP or seek medical advice as soon as possible.

Stuck abroad and not sure how to get home safely?

Proparamedics have you covered. We have been successfully working for individuals or on behalf of insurance companies, transporting patients either back to their homes or to a local NI hospital from hospitals abroad.

We travel by land, sea or air, liaising with foreign medical teams to bring injured or ill patients back home or to a closer hospital. We can meet patients at any airport in Ireland!

Do not be stranded abroad when you have an injured relative or friend.

Contact us and see how we can help to safely bring that patient home:
