PERSONAL POST ♥️ Celebrating International Women’s Day by celebrating me.
Last week I completed Marathon #7 and my 3rd World Major, with a PB.
I’m also a mother of three beautiful children, aged 8, 6 and 4.
But behind all of that… I’m grieving my own mum. Some days grief feels like trying to stay above water in the North Atlantic every single minute. The past year has been tough.
Still, every morning I get up and make a silent promise to myself: make it a good day and be strong.
I train 6 days a week — running and in the gym. Some days I don’t want to. Mentally I know I need it, even when physically I feel done. It’s part of how I keep going.
I also believe in looking after my body from the inside out. Vitamin B12 and Vitamin C injections help keep my energy and immune system strong so I can keep pushing forward.
Today I celebrate resilience.
Thank you to my mummy, and my older sisters, for showing me what real strength and powerful women look like.
To my daughter, who I want to lead by example for every single day.
To my daddy, for surviving a lifetime surrounded by strong women.
And to my husband — because none of this is possible without a solid marriage and the support behind the scenes.
So today I celebrate showing up.
Showing up through grief.
Showing up for my kids.
Showing up for my family.
Showing up for my clients.
But most importantly… learning that none of that happens unless I show up for myself first.
Happy International Women’s Day to every woman quietly fighting her own battles. You are stronger than you know. ✨
