We really do have a lot more choices than we allow ourselves to believe!

Every experience and event we are part of or observe has the potential to be perceived differently! This is where your choice and your life experiences to date come into play.

We look at events and give them ‘our meaning’ as a results of our beliefs and our previous experiences.

We create scenarios in our minds, little stories of why and how things happen and most of the time we go down a negative path. You speak to a colleague in work and they barely respond, we can interpret that into a story of ‘I’m boring no one wants to speak to me’ or ‘i’m stupid and have nothing intelligent or interesting to say’ or ‘maybe I have bad breath or BO’ and the list goes on…….whereas the reality could be they didn’t hear you, they are in a rush, they have just been scolded by the boss, they are embarrassed as they are no good at making small talk again the list is endless…….

So my request for the next few days or longer is consciously stop yourself from creating negative, destructive, diminishing stories! In other words stop making assumptions unless they are good ones

Challenge yourself to think of at least two maybe three good stories, assumptions, conclusions for every negative one that just pops into your head!

We really do have so much more control of our thoughts than we think we do!

Leading on from today’s post about how we can shift our reality. How’s about tomorrow we kick off with some random acts of kindness!

This can be very simple:
🌈speaking to a stranger and paying them a compliment
❤️‍🔥in a bookstore or library write little notes and leave them in books. Little uplifting quotes or messages.
🍀buy a lottery ticket and give it to a stranger.
💙give a few businesses that you like a good review on Google.
🌈in a cafe buy a random person a coffee
🫶🏻take a neighbours bin out on bin day of course lol
🤩take a friend out for dinner/coffee/lunch for absolutely no reason other than you want to make them happy
🦋smile and say hello to people you don’t know(safety first of course)
🧡tell a friend why you love them so much, let them know why they are special
💗be randomly kind to yourself, remember you are beautiful and you are loved

Give me more suggestions for random acts of kindness

How’s about we do a wee experiment and see if we can shift our reality! What does that sound like? Would it feel good to give it a go, maybe there’s more to this than you think!

Let’s do this, let’s change what we are focusing on and what we give our attention to and let’s see what else changes!

The world is a beautiful magical place and we are blessed to be alive and to have this day, for this day is all we are promised, we may not have tomorrow. So choose to see the beauty in everything you see and everyone you meet as the choice is yours, if you choose to watch the news and focus on all the negativity in the world then you will simply miss the beauty and the magic.

This is not toxic positivity, this is the reality that we are the guardians of the thoughts in our minds, if you choose to focus on all the pain and suffering in the world all you will see will be the pain and suffering. However if you chose to focus on nature, smiling faces, happy blissful children and our earthly companions the animals you will be rewarded with more of the same!

Guess what?
The Socials stole the attention algorithm from nature, we already have a built in algorithm to give us more of what we pay attention too 🙂 it’s called the RAS

So choose what you give your attention to and see what happens

And remember I love you simply because we share this beautiful planet at this incredible time
