The Cortisol Crisis induced by 5-working day grind:
Here's what's happening: after three consecutive days of work stress, your brain's cortisol levels begin to accumulate faster than your body can clear them.

It turns out that today is the second year when we here in Belfast are doing annual Day of Doing Nothing - dedicated to replenishing our inner resources.

We tell ourselves we're relaxing when we endlessly scroll through our phones. But this behaviour is actually hijacking our survival instincts - the primal need to scan our environment for what's new, what's changed, what might threaten or benefit us.

The problem? This constant scrolling produces what neuroscientists call "cheap dopamine" - quick hits that never truly satisfy. Some experts have even termed this pattern "dopamine ma********on": stimulation without real nourishment, gratification without fulfilment.

What doing nothing means for me? Gentle physical activity, talking with people, reading a book - these are luxury dopamine sources. What does doing nothing mean to you?

Kinesiology, the way I practice it, often works on surprisingly deep levels — it’s not always just about symptom relief or physical improvements.

Did you know your ears are connected to your kidneys?
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Kidneys "open into the ears" — and I saw this in action today during an initial Meridian Energy Balance.
“My ears just popped!” my client exclaimed with surprise.

This is a perfect example of how the state of the Kidneys directly influences hearing. And as our Kidney energy naturally declines with age, so can our hearing.
