Prep, stress & lots of grounding.

Past week the main focus has been making sure all my coaching clients are getting the attention they need to stay on track over the winter period, safe to say they’re all coping very well.
Winter is a tough time for everyone, dark nights, cold as f*ck, lack of motivation, drive & Christmas coming round the corner…
It’s stressful

But it doesn’t need to be that way, there is daily rituals and tools you can use to prevent yourself falling into the victim hole of winter.

The past week another main focus of mine is prepping for the men’s room - a new style of networking and learning for men to come together and talk about things that aren’t talked about, to have some craic, to meet new people & learn the tools I have used in the past to cope with chaos (and still use)

Training has been steady, hitting all my sessions this week plus cardio. Happy with that as it keeps me steady over the winter months - tbh winter has always been my best months of training - you either focus on the positives or negatives, I chose the positives all day.

Most men don’t need more motivation.
They need structure, accountability and truth.

You already know what to do, you’ve just been trying to do it alone.
That’s where you fall short.

Previously… 🧠🐺

Training’s been alright this week
intensity dipped a bit, but still got 3 weight sessions in and 1 grappling session. Next week’s aim: 4 weights and 2 grappling. Back to full tilt.

Jumped on the Frank Mitchell Show (U105) to talk about the real issues that actually matter — mental health, education, and how our politicians keep dragging everything back into identity politics instead of progress.

Most of my focus this week’s been on planning the next big .coffee event

can’t wait for this one. If you haven’t grabbed your ticket yet, do it. This workshop’s built to help men handle stress, pressure, and life better using real tools that work.

Took a bit of downtime too
walks, dogs, fresh air, headspace. Needed it before the next few busy weeks ahead.

So much coming… and I can’t wait for what’s next.

Just been working away.
Events, coaching, planning ahead, growth, personal development and all that jazz.

Running 2 businesses & trying to be present is very difficult.
That’s why the simple things in life will always keep you grounded.
Look after your daily rituals, your health is your wealth.
When all is said and done the happiest people are the people who can find peace in the chaos of life (it will get chaotic)
I find my peace in the simple daily tasks.

Big shout out to my longest serving client.

Aaron’s achievements are too many to even write about but long story short is this -
He has completely changed his life.

Aaron’s went from no direction, constant winging it, feeling lonely in his training journey and lost to…

Being the leader of the group, the role model they all look up to.
He completed a photoshoot last year and now is on track for another one.

Aaron’s mindset and attitude is worth mirroring.
He’s a grade A client and not just that but a great friend and mentor to the others in the group.

Big love for Aaron🙌🏽❤️

Nobody wants to talk about it, especially men.

But male loneliness is at an all time high:

1 in 5 men have no close friends, double the rate for women.

This is a real stat.

Finding your tribe isn’t easy but if you surround yourself with the wrong people you will feel lonelier than you would not be around anyone.

Don’t betray yourself to fit in.
Be yourself, build confidence in vulnerability and authenticity.

Are you aware?

When it comes to business, training & life I can be quite all systems go.
I don’t know my limits half the time, I just push and push until I crash.
Sometimes we need to realise that less is more

What I mean by that is this:

You won’t solve all your problems in one day.
Some days you’ll just not solve any.
But on the days where you don’t have the brain capacity or energy to solve problems here’s my advice.

1. Just don’t make it worse - don’t go out drinking, don’t make emotional decisions, don’t lash out, don’t break anything.
Some days are just about “getting through the day without making it worse”

2. Daily rituals
Walk, journal, drink water, eat good food, sleep well & do something nice for yourself and others.

3. Practise gratitude
There’s so much to be grateful for. Life isn’t that bad. We aren’t living in a war zone, we aren’t starving to death, we aren’t under immediate threat of death.
We just didn’t get our to do list finished…
