Full time whistles, tired legs, big smiles. Here’s how the day unfolded for City 💚🤍⚽
A Team vs Belfast Celtic A
A slow burn to start. Belfast Celtic A came out sharp and City needed time to find their rhythm. But when the second half arrived, so did the spark. Three goals after the break flipped the script and powered Belfast City Inclusion A to a brilliant win. Patience and persistence paid off.
City A vs Linfield B
City A controlled the game, dominated possession, and asked all the questions. The only thing missing was the finishing touch. Darragh between the sticks was a spectator for most of it, but with chances not converted, both sides shared the points.
City B vs Ards A
A beauty of a first half goal saw Paddy fire home first time after a slick move and a clever assist from Oran. City pushed for more and had opportunities to seal it. But football can be ruthless. A brief switch off allowed Ards A to capitalise and turn it around late on. Final score 2 to 1.
City B vs Linfield A
A tough test. Linfield A hit their stride early and never eased off, running away with the result despite City’s efforts.
City C vs RTS D
Two standout debuts from Cathy and Marie set the tone. Confidence, composure, class. A moment of magic from keeper Conor, whose smart assist released Gerard one on one to open the scoring. JJ and Corrie added their names to the scoresheet to wrap up a well earned win against a mixed RTS side.
City C vs Celtic C
No let up. Corrie and Gerard struck again as City C secured a second victory of the day against a mixed Celtic team. Two games. Two wins. Hard earned and fully deserved.
Plenty of lessons. Plenty of positives. And plenty to build on as we roll forward.
