SAVAGE (Portaferry) Died 1st April 2026, peacefully at hospital. Gerard, beloved husband of Angela, dearly loved father of Kerry and Amanda, dear father-in-law of Dermot, David and the late Kieron, much loved grandfather of Niall, Matthew, Cairenn, Anna and Michael and a dear brother of Mary and Tom.
Gerard’s remains will be reposing in John Smith Funeral Home on Friday 3rd April from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Funeral will leave the funeral home on Saturday 4th April at 11.45am to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyphilip for Funeral Service at 12noon followed by burial in adjoining graveyard.

Norah, devoted wife of the late Robert, dearly loved mother of Stephen, Robert, Peter and the late Ann, dear mother-in-law of Caroline, cherished nanny of Daryl, Kelsie, Callum, Emma, Bethan, Cara and Thomas, great-grandmother of Caiden, Rosie and Ava and dear sister of George and the late Davy, Jimmy, Billy and Eilish.
Nora’s remains will be reposing in John Smith Funeral Home on Thursday 2nd April from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm and Friday 3rd April from 6pm-8pm. Funeral will leave the funeral home on Saturday 4th April at 9.30am to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyphilip for Funeral Service at 10am followed by burial in adjoining graveyard.

DALY (Portaferry) Died 28th March 2026, at hospital. Brendan, dearly loved husband of Pauline (Arthurs), much loved father of Sean and Megan, cherished granda of Theo and Charlie, dear father-in-law of Victoria, loving brother of Rita and the late Pat and a dearly loved brother-in-law and uncle.
Brendan’s remains will be reposing in his home 42 Shore Road, Portaferry today, Monday 30th March from 6pm-9pm.
Funeral will leave the home on Tuesday 31st March at 11am to Mount St. Joseph’s Church, Ballycranbeg for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Family home strictly private the morning of the funeral please. A private family service will take place in Roselawn Crematorium at a later date.

Violet’s remains will be reposing in John Smith’s Funeral Home on Thursday 26th March and Friday 27th March from 2pm- 4pm and 6pm-8pm each day. HULL (Portaferry) Died 5th March 2026, peacefully at hospital. Ian, much loved partner of Morna, father of Euan and Fiona, and brother of George.
Ian will be reposing in his home 5E Castle Street, Portaferry on Thursday 12th March from 4pm until 10pm. All are welcome.
The cremation service will be in Roselawn Crematorium on Friday 13th March at 10am followed by Refreshments in Dumigan's Bar, 9 Ferry Street, Portaferry.
Donations in tribute to Ian could be made privately to a charity of choice.
Ian will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by a wide circle of family, friends and traditional musicians.
