This is a little different than my usual reviews....as it's not about food.
But , as a vegan woman running a small business, I'm all about supporting other vegan women doing the same thing .
Plus Meme Watt has been a wonderful friend for years and has always supported Truffleupagus Vegan Yums ...so here we are
Mairghread runs based at Conway Mill Belfast.
And I just could not wait to try her treatments
Mairghread chose the Bandia (pronounced ban_jee_ha) which means divine woman in Irish and I love how she has intertwined her strong Irish culture into her work.
I have been a little exhausted lately and London left me a tad over stimulated so after explaining to Mairghread what I was expecting , she began the work
I was blown away by the attention to detail at Held . The bed has gotta be the most comfortable thing there and my goodness, was it ever. I felt like the princess and the pea climbing up onto it.
I was assured that nothing was too much trouble and anything could get changed for my comfort.
As a very hot woman (both gorgeous and in Menopause lol)I did ask for the heated blanket to be turned off. And I'm not a huge fan of speaking meditations (they make me want to giggle, so that was changed to a soothing vibrational style, like humming, which I love)
The treatment was 1 and a half hours long,which is simply exquisite. An hour session can feel rushed ...and this allowed me time to deeply relax.
The Bandia starts with opening of the lymphatic ducts , a full facial including light skin brushing and cupping . Frankincense is used in a carrier oil which is wonderful for the skin.
I was a little anxious about my tummy area being exposed, but I can honestly say I felt so relaxed and Mairghread has a beautiful, non judgement energy that is both extremely professional and warm .
Magnesium is placed on the feet to help with restless legs and sleep and she spent a lot of time moving the fluid from my left knee.
The entire treatment gently reminded my to soften, relax and enjoy the skin that I'm in .
Treatments like this can really help heal and rejuvenate and I have felt tired and a little weepy after. But this is totally normal....perfect infact as the energy shifts from being stuck to moving and flowing again
The overall experience was indeed divine
I would highly recommend Mairghread...she's in high demand right now , but do persevere.
I'm gonna book in again as soon as I can
