Passed peacefully at Glasgow Royal Infirmary surrounded by his loving family. Beloved Husband of the late Jean McKellar, Dad, Grampa, Brother, Uncle & Friend.

The funeral service will be held at Daldowie Crematorium, East Chapel at 12 noon on Wednesday 18th of March 2026. Anyone wishing to pay their respects are welcome.

A Special Mother’s Day Gesture at Bothwell Castle Care Home 🌼
Funeral Director John visited Bothwell Castle Care Home this week to bring a little sunshine ahead of Mother’s Day. He kindly gifted each woman living in the home a beautiful bunch of daffodils helping make the day that bit brighter.
John also presented the dedicated nurses and carers with a thoughtful gift basket filled with treats, along with a heartfelt card to thank them for the incredible compassion and commitment they show every day.

🌼 A Special Mother’s Day Visit to St. Joseph’s Primary! 🌼
Helen and John, our Funeral Arranger and Funeral Director at Joseph Potts Blantyre, were delighted to visit St. Joseph’s Primary School this morning.
Every P1 pupil was gifted a beautiful bunch of daffodils to give to their special person ahead of Mother’s Day, along with a colourful pencil to help them continue creating their amazing artwork. 🎨💛
We were truly touched by the wonderful drawings the children made of their special people — these lovely pictures are proudly displayed in our branch window on Glasgow Road. There’s still plenty of time to stop by, admire their creativity, and have a friendly chat with Helen.

Holy Family Primary 1 pupils in Bellshill have been very busy last week creating beautiful drawings of their special person for Mother’s Day. We’re delighted to share that these wonderful works of art are now proudly displayed in the window of our Bellshill branch.
If any family member, friend, or proud supporter would like to see the children’s artwork, please feel free to pop along. John, Kirsty, Anne and Sandra, our arrangers and directors, will be more than happy to assist you when you visit.

🌟 Welcome to the Team, Lauren Bell! 🌟
We’re delighted to welcome Lauren Bell to the team as our newest Casual Funeral Service Operative.
Lauren enjoys travelling and taking part in all things active, and joined us in search of a new challenge. After researching the industry, she felt that Dignity was the right place to grow — and we’re thrilled she chose to join us.
Since starting, Lauren has embraced the role wholeheartedly. She shared that she enjoys the variety each day brings, the different aspects of the job, and the unique challenges that come with supporting families. She describes it as a privilege to offer guidance to people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Lauren has already found the role incredibly rewarding, especially seeing the genuine respect and dignity shown by colleagues to those in our care — something she is proud to now be part of.
Welcome, Lauren — we’re so pleased to have you with us 💛

Our FSO Jimmy recently teamed up with Deacon Joe at St John the Baptist RC Church.
While only one trolley wheel needed repair, Jimmy stepped up to replace the entire set to ensure everything runs smoothly for the parish.
Great to see our team supporting the local community!
