This evening we created a hot chocolate station for all to enjoy.

Thank you Sue for coming in to help, it was so lovely to see our residents reactions to having you in their home again.

We had plenty of flavours, toppings and a little boozy wooze if you fancied it.

Dressing up as Elves was definitely a highlight and had all our residents smiling.

The little things in life really do mean so much.

The aim of the game was the throw the balls and get them through the holes.
There was balls all over the place, which kept the staff super busy and unable to take many photos.

Katie and Sheila G were the only two residents who got a ball through the hole using just three balls.

We started our Christmas Games morning by visiting the North Pole.

The aim of this game was to select a nail and if it had a colour on the bottom, you won a prize. The prizes were candy canes or celebrations.

This morning we headed to St Peter’s Church, Belper to add our creation to their advent trees.

Thank you so much Gail for supporting and helping our residents to create this amazing design.

The church grounds look wonderful with all the designs, if you have time we’d highly recommended having a walk around them. Please send us a selfie with our design if you do go.

Who would of thought such little things could bring so much joy.

We purchase these racing sprouts yesterday in preparation for our Christmas Themed Games day and we couldn’t resist giving them a trial run.

Ann and Clive got very competitive, it was hilarious to watch.

Trees, 5,6 and 7 have gone up in our Dining Room.

The chosen theme in there was white and silver as we were gifted lots of items for our residents to enjoy in those colours. Thank you to everyone who gave us items.

Thank you to our lovely Vera for helping to lead the exercise class this morning, she did a wonderful job and got our residents stretching and having fun.

We got the tennis rackets and balloons out, they always go down well and get us exercising without even realising.

We finished off with an action song to the Twelve Days of Christmas curtesy of

Clive wanted to create something for our Home Made Decorations room, but he didn’t want his brothers to catch him knitting.

Elsie had the idea of drying out some hydrangeas and spray painting them for decoration over Christmas.

So, Ella set about drying them and when it came to painting we knew just the man for the job.

We used spray snow, Clive was extremely patient as the can was a little temperamental.

Don’t they look great.

It is with great sadness that we need to inform you that our FESTIVE DOG SHOW this Saturday will not be going ahead.

We held a residents meeting this lunchtime and discussed the current flu situation and our residents were in agreement that we should look at and adapt some of our festive plans for their wellbeing and safety.

We will arrange another Dog Show in the warmer months and hope you can join us then.

Please apologies to your fur friends for us.
