It’s been an absolute privilege supporting Lauren’s Legacy as our charity of the year. The work you do makes such a meaningful difference to young people and their families, and we’re so proud to play a small part in helping you continue that mission. 💛

We’re so grateful to Thomas Ryde & Son Independent Funeral Directors in Belper for their incredible donation of £1,500 to Lauren’s Legacy.

This generous amount was raised over the past year through a variety of fundraising events. Each year, Thomas Ryde & Son choose a different charity to support and work tirelessly to make a difference in their community.

Your kindness helps us continue supporting teenagers and young adults undergoing cancer treatment — we can’t thank you enough for standing with us. 💛

Today, on Remembrance Day, we pause to honour all who have served, and those who never came home.

Colleagues from Belper attended the Remembrance Service at Belper Memorial Gardens and St Peter’s Church, where they proudly laid our wreath as a mark of respect for the brave men, women, and animals who gave everything for our freedom.

We were also honoured to assist with the printing of the service booklets, helping the community come together to remember.

We will remember them.

We’re proud to display the Golden Charter seal

The Golden Charter seal represents trust, reassurance, and connection.

🌟 Help Us Choose Our 2026 Charity of the Year 🌟

At Thomas Ryde & Son, we believe in supporting the heart of our community. As we look ahead to 2026, we're reaching out to you — our friends and neighbor's in Belper — to help us select a local charity to support next year.

Our only request: The charity must be based in Belper.

If you know a cause that makes a real difference in our town — whether it's supporting families, providing food, protecting the environment, or offering a helping hand to those in need — we want to hear from you.

How to nominate:

Comment below with the charity's name and a brief description of their work.

Or send us a private message if you prefer.

We'll review all suggestions and announce our chosen charity in the coming weeks. Thank you for helping us continue our tradition of giving back to the Belper community.

Last night, Mark, Fiona, and Josh (Belper’s newest recruit) had the pleasure of attending the licensing service of Rev. Eliott George, the new Priest-in-Charge of the St Peter’s Group of Churches.

The service was a truly special occasion, bringing together a wide range of local groups to celebrate and welcome Rev. Eliott to his new ministry.

Thomas Ryde were proud to sponsor the service sheets for the event, and Fiona had the honour of presenting Rev. Eliott with a bouquet of flowers to welcome him and his family to Belper.

All of us at Thomas Ryde wish Rev. Eliott every success in his new role supporting the people of Belper and the surrounding areas.
