Mother’s Day Preparations 🌸

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, our home has been filled with excitement as we begin preparing for this special day.

Our lovely residents have been busy helping to create beautiful decorations, including arranging flowers to brighten up our home.

It was also a truly heartwarming moment as our residents took the time to write thoughtful notes to their mothers. Their words were filled with love, memories, and appreciation, making it a very special activity for everyone involved.

Our home is now beautifully decorated as we get ready to celebrate the wonderful mothers who are part of Belper Views. Many of our residents treat us like their own, which is so, so special to us and something we feel incredibly grateful for every day.

We look forward to sharing a lovely day filled with warmth, gratitude, and special moments together. 💐💛

Sheila’s Little Adventure 🐰🌿

This morning, Sheila enjoyed a lovely wander around the area near our beautiful home, accompanied by our wonderful Lisa. There’s nothing quite like a breath of fresh air and a peaceful stroll to start the day!

Sheila has always loved walking and taking in the calm surroundings that we’re so lucky to have here.

During her walk, she even spotted a gorgeous little bunny sitting in a window, which she thought was absolutely beautiful.

Moments like these are so special, and Sheila’s smile truly says it all. It’s the simple joys that make the day so lovely here. 💛

Enjoying the Sunshine in the Garden ☀️

What a gorgeous day it has been! With the lovely spring weather finally making an appearance, we have been making the most of our beautiful garden.

Residents have been popping in and out throughout the day to enjoy the fresh air, warm sunshine, and of course a good cup of tea.

Our beloved cats, Rufus and Arnold, were also making the most of the sunshine and could be found happily sunbathing in their favourite spots.

Sheila spent some time in the garden enjoying a cuddle with Arnold alongside a relaxing cup of tea — simple moments that make the day so special.

Barb and Betty, our lovely duo, chose to enjoy their lunch outside together, catching up and sharing plenty of laughter and gossip. Their friendship is truly heartwarming to see and brings so much joy to everyone around them.

Days like today remind us how wonderful it is to spend time outdoors, enjoying each other’s company and the little moments that make our home so special.

We are now looking forward to getting the garden summer-ready so we can enjoy many more sunny days like this together. 🌼🌿

Coffee Morning at the Church ☕⛪

This morning we enjoyed a wonderful outing to our local church, St Swithun's Church, where we were warmly welcomed for coffee and cake.

Our monthly visits are always such a special part of our routine. It’s a lovely opportunity to spend time in the community, share conversations, and enjoy a delicious treat together. The friendly faces and welcoming atmosphere make it something we all look forward to each month.

🌼Spring is Coming 🌼

There’s a real feeling of spring in the air, and Ruth made the most of it with a lovely little wander alongside our wonderful Activities Coordinator, Lisa.

Ruth enjoys keeping active and spending time outdoors, and it was so special to see her soaking up the fresh air and brighter skies.

With the days getting lighter and (hopefully!) warmer, we’re all looking forward to many more strolls and spending time together in our beautiful garden.

Windy Walks & Warm Smiles 🌬️💛

It may have been a blustery one today, but the weather certainly didn’t dampen our spirits!

While we’re counting down the days until summer returns to our beautiful garden, we’re still making the most of every opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors.

Sheila was keen to brave the wind this morning with our wonderful Lisa by her side.

Together they wrapped up warm and enjoyed a lovely little stroll to visit the nearby horses.

Sheila has always loved walking and pottering about, so this was the perfect way to keep active and do something she truly enjoys.

And we were certainly ready for a lovely warm cup of tea when we got home! ☕💛

It’s the simple moments — fresh air, friendly company, and time spent outside — that mean so much to our residents.

We cherish their love for the outdoors and are always happy to support them in doing the things that bring them joy. 💚

💅 🫧Pamper Day for Ruth 🫧💅

At Belper Views, we love supporting our residents to continue enjoying the little things that make them feel happy and confident.

Ruth has always loved having her nails professionally done, so our wonderful Activities Coordinator Lisa regularly accompanies her to the salon to keep them looking their best.

Ruth thoroughly enjoys her pamper visits, and it’s always such a joy to see how happy and proud she feels afterwards.

As you can see, her nails look absolutely beautiful! Moments like these are so important in helping our residents feel like themselves and continue the routines they’ve always cherished.

Betty has been out enjoying a fun-filled birthday, and we couldn’t wait to welcome her home to plenty of cake, tasty nibbles, and lots of love from everyone here.

The dance floor was well and truly open this morning! Our residents had the best time singing along and showing off their moves during our wonderful visit from Johnny Victory.

🎙️🎹🎵 Johnny Victory 🎵🎹🎙️

What a fantastic morning we’ve had with the wonderful Johnny Victory! From the very first note, the room was filled with energy, laughter and plenty of toe-tapping.

There was lots of grooving, dancing and definitely some powerful singing voices on show — we think we may have a few sore legs tomorrow! 💃🕺

The residents absolutely loved revisiting some of their favourite tunes from years gone by, and special requests were welcomed with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble!

We are so incredibly grateful for such a heartwarming performance. Today brought so many smiles — and even a few happy tears — as we reminisced and shared special memories together.

⛪️✨ Holy Hymns & Hot Brews! 🎶☕️

What have we been up to? Oh… just raising the roof (very respectfully, of course!) at St Swithun's Church for our monthly visit!

Our residents absolutely love attending the service — and we must say, our singing voices get stronger every month. The vicar and church community always make us feel so warmly welcomed, and after a lovely service, we tucked into biscuits and a well-earned hot drink. Because let’s be honest… hymns are serious business!

Back at the home, the performance didn’t stop there. With Lisa, our fabulous Activities Coordinator, leading the way, there were dance moves, toe tapping, and a few surprise twirls thrown in for good measure. Who says you can’t have a little groove after a good hymn?

The cold and miserable weather? Not a chance it’s getting the better of us. We’re far too busy filling our days with laughter, music and plenty of sparkle. 💛
