🎉👶 Wishing Juliette All the Best! 👶🎉

Yesterday we celebrated as our lovely Juliette headed off on maternity leave! 💕
We surprised her with a beautiful cake 🎂 and a gorgeous nappy cake all put together by a few of our residents and Tracy.

We wish her all the love, joy and happiness as she starts this exciting new chapter. You’ll be missed, Juliette — but we can’t wait to meet your little one! 👣💛

🎄✨ Christmas Fair Donations Needed ✨🎄

Hello everyone! I’m Ella, the Wellbeing Coordinator at our lovely care home in Duffield, and we’re busily preparing for our upcoming Christmas Fair 🎅🎁

We are currently looking for donations for our tombola and raffle — items such as gifts, vouchers, chocolates, wine, hampers, or anything festive and fun would be truly appreciated! ❤️

I have reached out to several local businesses for support but, unfortunately, haven’t received any replies yet. So I’m reaching out to our wonderful community in hope that someone may be able to help us make this event extra special. 🌟

All funds raised will go directly into our Residents’ Comfort Fund, which supports activities, entertainment, and little extras that brighten the lives of our residents every day 💕🏠

🌸🎶 Afternoon Fun at Bankwood! 🎶🌸
Our residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon of flower arranging followed by a cheerful sing-along session! 🎤💐
Our Wellbeing Coordinator Ella even joined in with some fun dance moves to Music Man and Superman! 💃😄
Lots of laughter, smiles, and music filled the room — a truly wonderful afternoon for everyone! 💛🌼

🇬🇧 Remembrance Sunday 🇬🇧

Today, we come together to honour and remember all those who have served and sacrificed for our country. 🌺

The tradition began after World War I, with the first Remembrance Day held in 1919 — marking the end of the war on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. 🕊️

We wear the red poppy as a symbol of remembrance and hope — inspired by the poem “In Flanders Fields” 🌹.

Let’s take a moment of silence to reflect and give thanks to all who have given so much for the peace we enjoy today. ❤️

🎈 Fun Afternoon at Bankwood! 🎾

Our lovely residents had an amazing time playing balloon tennis this afternoon! 😄💪 There was lots of laughter, smiles, and plenty of friendly competition. It was a great way to work on coordination and arm strength while having so much fun! 👏❤️

🎃✨ Pumpkin carving fun at Bankwood this afternoon! Our residents got creative making their very own spooky (and smiley!) pumpkins 🎃🕸️🧡 It was a fantastic afternoon filled with laughter, teamwork, and a little bit of Halloween magic 👻🌟

💇‍♀️✨ It’s pamper day at Bankwood care home! Our lovely residents enjoyed getting their hair beautifully styled by our visiting hairdresser 💕 There were lots of smiles and laughter as everyone left the salon chair feeling refreshed and fabulous!

💅 To make the day extra special, our wonderful Wellbeing Coordinator, Ella, treated residents to manicures and nail care — adding that perfect finishing touch of colour and sparkle! 🌸

It’s always a joy to see our residents feeling their best and enjoying a little bit of luxury and self-care 💖
