A very useful reminder of purpose of the specially shaped wrist strap on nordic walking poles. And If you are investing in poles it's worth getting ones with good quality, well fitted & comfortable wrist straps

If you are really interested in the Refresher session happening this coming Wednesday at 10.30am please can you message me directly asap. We will be meeting in the carpark in front of Ashridge House. We will be practicing a few technique tips but more importantly learning how to really walk up & integrate our feet & legs into our walk.

9.15am start from the Alford Arms in Frithsden tomorrow for a scenic 5 mile circuit towards Golden Valley, a view from Covetous Corner, via the Amaravati monastery, & back up the fascinating sunken 'roman' road at Nettleden. Plenty of gradient variety to get the heart pumping & the body buzzing!

My feet have happily been 'unbound' (in minimalist footwear) for over 10 years now thanks to those movement practitioners I have been lucky enough to learn from & spend time with along my movement journey... Joanne Elphinstone JEMS, Gary Ward, The Foot Collective, Katy Bowman Nutritious Movement, Vivobarefoot to name a few. And I will continue to spread this good foot 'karma' in all I teach too

I've just submitted my walk offerings for this year's Chilterns Walking Festival which is happening 17th May to 1st June. Very grateful that I am well again to take part in it as I very much missed sharing my local walk knowledge last year. Excited to offer a real variety including watercolour painting, mindfulness & a monastery visit, singing, introduction to Nordic walking technique, canals, Ashridge Estate through history, & some very old tree hugging on the Great Gaddesden Estate.
