A huge Congratulations to Isabel and her team at Northern View on this fantastic recognition of the work they do for the community!
When we approached Northern View in early 2025 with the prospect of renting a room one day a week, they were only too happy to help. 6 months later we now rent with them 5 days a week and the ladies provide a freshly cooked 2 course lunch for us every day!

Last night announced the winner of its Large Business of the Year award: Northern View Berwick on Highcliffe in Spittal.
At a ceremony at Berwick Rotary's meeting at the Kings Arms yesterday evening, Rotary President Michael Gallico presented Isabel Litster, Managing Director of Northern View, with a commemorative certificate.
The inscription reads: “In recognition of the outstanding commitment and enterprise shown in providing service and support to the local community and local economy”.
Isabel said that she "felt hugely humbled" to receive the award. She said that it had been a struggle to make Northern View what it was and she praised the fantastic team she had around her.
Northern View provides a community space aiming at bringing people together where they can feel at home. It provides a base for groups including a dementia group and Berwick Darts Academy, and during colder months provides a warm space for local residents.
It runs entertainment events throughout the year, many in aid of good causes, as well as a pensioners' Christmas lunch. It has function rooms available for hire and has a disabled-accessible bathroom which is available for local people to use whether their disability is short or long-term.
