The biggest thank you to The Living Barracks at Berwick Barracks and The Maltings Berwick for treating our clients to a private viewing of Jailhouse Rock starring Elvis Presley today. And of course a trip to the cinema is not complete without popcorn and a drink for those who wanted it. Everyone had a fantastic time and we are all looking forward to coming to see you again soon!

From the second our clients arrive at Tweed Connections in the morning we have food and drink available for them.

A hot drink on arrival, (bowl of porridge for anyone who has missed breakfast) a two-course lunch, then tea or coffee and a scone or cake before they head home, with the option of a packed tea for those who would like it. Foods are prepared on the premises, and special dietary requirements can be catered for.

If you know someone who would benefit from some comforting food, regular company and stimulation, please do not hesitate to contact us on 07563 716752 or by email at office@tweedconnections.co.uk

North East Fire and Medical, thank you so much for our training yesterday. You were both so knowledgeable and in sharing real life experiences it gave us a better understanding when doing our practical and theory exams. Great day with lots of humour thrown in, we would definitely recommend.

Another day and another group of amazing people now qualified in the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work.

We had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with staff from Tweed Connections CIC, Pearsons of Duns Ltd and Tweedmouth House and teaching them the skills they need in the workplace to preserve life, prevent a condition worsening and how to promote casualty recovery. Everyone was amazing, achieving possibly the best scores we've ever seen on the theory test, and excelling in the practical assessments, and we had plenty (and I mean plenty!) of laughs along the way!

Congratulations to you all and we hope to see you all on your annual refreshers same time next year.

If you need first aid training for your workplace, or simply for personal learning, drop us a message and we ill be happy to help. We have a few dates for 'open' courses being released soon so keep an eye on our page.

From frontline to classroom, choose North East Fire and Medical for your first aid and fire safety training.

Thanks to 'Forgotten Berwick', we had a delivery of old Berwick Advertisers today, they proved to be a great talking point with lots of faces and names being recognised from the past. We really enjoy hearing everyone's old stories and it's a great way to prompt memory recall. Our clients loved reminiscing too!

Thanks to a grant from the Northumberland County Council Community Chest we have been able to invest in a new Stand Aid for the centre.

The Stand Aid will enable those with limited mobility to maintain their independence, participate more in activities and help improve their circulation and muscle strength. Plus it will also help us minimise risk to our staff.

Thank you NCC!
