Anxiety isn’t “just in your head.” It’s your body’s natural alarm system - designed to protect you from danger.
When that alarm starts going off too often, it can leave you feeling tense, tired, and on edge.

Here’s what’s happening:
⚡ Your brain detects a threat (real or imagined)
💓 Your body releases stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol
😰 Your heart races, breathing quickens, and muscles tighten - ready for “fight or flight”

Short bursts of anxiety are normal. But if you’re feeling anxious most of the time, your body and mind may be stuck in overdrive.

Therapy can help you understand what’s triggering this response - and teach you tools to calm your system so you can feel more in control again.
