🌿 Holistic – Proud to Support Homecall’s Wonderful Community Event 🌿

Holistic was delighted to attend the Homecall Christmas Fayre this morning at St Martha’s Church Hall in Little Common. It was a joyful and heart-warming event filled with festive spirit, community togetherness and genuine care for our visually impaired residents.

Homecall has been supporting visually impaired people across Bexhill since 1985, reducing isolation and promoting independence through regular volunteer home visits. Their dedication and compassion continue to make a real difference.

🌿 Holistic – Celebrating Community Strength with Dyslexia South East CIC 🌿

Holistic had the pleasure of attending the Dyslexia South East CIC event today in Bexhill, and we left feeling truly inspired. Meeting founders Phil and Trudy Golding and learning about the passion behind their work was a reminder of how powerful community-led support can be.

Dyslexia South East CIC is bringing hope, guidance and practical help to children, young people and adults who face challenges with dyslexia and specific learning difficulties. Their commitment to making support accessible for every family — regardless of financial circumstances — is both admirable and urgently needed.

Today’s event was filled with positivity, dedication and genuine care for the community.

🌸 Supporting Cancer Care and Awareness: 🌸

It was a true privilege for Holistic to join the Bexhill Primary Care Network (PCN) this morning for their inspiring campaign in support of Breast Cancer Now.

At Holistic, we believe that true care extends beyond the workplace — it’s about standing together as a community to support those facing life-changing health challenges. Cancer awareness and early detection save lives, and we are proud to stand beside our local healthcare partners in promoting this vital message.

A heartfelt thank you to the Bexhill PCN team for their dedication and compassion in supporting those affected by cancer. Special appreciation to Dr Bhaskaran, Clinical Director, and Nicky Hodge, PCN and Federation Manager, for their leadership and commitment to improving community health outcomes.

Together, we can continue to build awareness, strengthen local health initiatives, and ensure everyone has access to the care and support they deserve. 💗

We were delighted to attend the Hastings Day Business & Community Networking Luncheon 2025 at Sussex Coast College Hastings. 🌿✨

It was a privilege for Holistic to stand alongside so many inspiring community leaders, dignitaries, and local businesses at the 15th Annual Lord Awards, celebrating dedication, achievement, and service across Hastings and East Sussex. 💙

Congratulations to all the award recipients for their remarkable contributions, and heartfelt thanks to Lord Brett McLean for his outstanding leadership in strengthening community partnerships and recognising local excellence.

🏥 NEW NEIGHBOURHOOD HEALTH HUB 🩺

I know GP practices are still facing barriers to building new, state-of-the-art premises, and that many constituents are still experiencing challenges accessing a GP. But in what could be more positive news for our area, Hastings and Rother has been chosen as one of just 43 areas in the country to benefit from a new programme bringing healthcare directly into local communities.

Teams of GPs, nurses, hospital doctors, pharmacists, social care workers, and voluntary organisations will work together to provide joined-up care, focusing on people with multiple conditions and helping to reduce unnecessary hospital visits. The programme will make it easier for those living with long term conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, angina, MS, or epilepsy to access the care they need.

I have requested a meeting with the CEO of NHS Sussex to discuss how this will be rolled out locally. This programme has the potential to improve care for residents in Bexhill and Battle, supporting people to manage long term conditions closer to home while easing pressure on hospitals.
