Time to Talk Day – 5th February

Time to Talk Day is about breaking the silence around mental health and reminding everyone that it’s okay to talk.

One simple conversation can:
✔ Reduce stigma
✔ Help someone feel less alone
✔ Encourage people to seek support

World Cancer Day – 4th February

World Cancer Day is a reminder of the importance of early diagnosis and regular health checks.

If you notice:
✔ A new lump
✔ Unexplained pain
✔ Changes in your body
✔ Ongoing symptoms
✔ Anything that worries you

Please don’t wait – contact your GP practice.

Most symptoms are not cancer, but getting checked early gives the best chance of effective treatment if something is wrong.

📣📣📣 Patient of Vita Healthcare 📣📣📣

On Monday 2nd February Vita Bexhill (Collington, Pebsham, Sea Road and Ninfield) will be transitioning to a total triage system.

This means that all requests for GP and on the day appointments will have a triage form completed. You can either complete this form yourself online or, if you do not have online access, this can be completed for you via the phone. This form will then be reviewed by a clinician who will triage the request, deciding on an appropriate appointment based on your clinical urgency.

As part of this change, patients will no longer be able to use the Engage Online Consultation service previously available.

The triage form will be available on their website https://www.vita.healthcare/ from 8:00am–6:00pm from Monday 2nd February 2026

Bowel cancer screening is improving, helping to spot signs of cancer even earlier.

If you’re aged 50–74, your FIT kit will arrive in the post. It’s a simple test that can make a big difference.

When it arrives, put it by the loo and don’t put it off. Early detection saves lives. 💙

🌿 Nurture in Nature – Free Cancer Support in the Woods 🌿

Bexhill PCN would like to share this wonderful free wellbeing programme for people living with a cancer diagnosis.

Nurture in Nature offers gentle, supportive sessions in a beautiful woodland setting at Herstmonceux Castle, helping participants relax, connect, and boost wellbeing through nature.

✨ Activities include:
• Woodland activities
• Cooking on the fire
• Foraging
• Mindfulness and relaxation

📍 Where: Herstmonceux Castle, East Sussex
🗓 When: Thursdays for 10 consecutive weeks, starting 5th March 2026
🕤 Morning sessions: 9.30am – 12.30pm
🕑 Afternoon sessions: 2.00pm – 4.30pm

💚 This is a free support service delivered by Wilder Life Wellbeing CIC and funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
