Veterans Drop-In Event

Bexhill Primary Care Network and Rural Rother Primary Care Network are working in partnership with local veterans to establish what we hope will become a regular drop-in event for the veteran community.

The aim is to provide a welcoming and informal space where veterans can access support, share experiences and connect with others in their local area.

The event will also offer an opportunity for veterans, their families and carers to meet with representatives from the local care network and learn more about the support available within the community.

The event will take place on Friday 10th April from 11am - 2pm at the Town Square Social Club Bexhill.

Mother’s Day can be a joyful and loving day, but for many people it can also bring difficult and complex emotions.

Today we’re thinking of those who have lost their mum, those who have lost a child, those hoping to become parents, those experiencing infertility or pregnancy loss, single parents carrying so much, and those whose relationships with their mothers are complicated or painful.

Whatever today brings for you — love, grief, gratitude, sadness, or hope — your feelings are valid. You are not alone. 💚

If you’re finding today particularly difficult, support is available. Please speak to your GP practice or visit NHS support services.

For emotional support you can also contact:

This Valentine’s Day, Prioritize Heart Health

Valentine’s Day is a reminder to care for what matters most.

Your heart works tirelessly every day—supporting it with healthy choices is one of the most important investments you can make.

Cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of illness worldwide, but many risk factors are preventable through lifestyle modifications.

This February, commit to heart-healthy habits:
• Engage in at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week
• Choose a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins
• Limit sodium, added sugars, and saturated fats
• Maintain a healthy weight
• Manage stress effectively
• Avoid to***co use
• Monitor blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose regularly Small, consistent changes can significantly reduce your risk of heart disease.

Show your heart the care it deserves—not just today, but every day.

❤️ Love Your Heart This Valentine’s Day ❤️

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner is all about love… so why not show some love to the one that keeps you going every single day — your heart? 💓

A healthy heart means more energy, more memories, and more moments with the people you love.

This Valentine’s Day, promise your heart:
❤️ 30 minutes of movement each day
🥗 More colorful fruits & veggies on your plate
💧 Plenty of water
😌 Time to relax and de-stress
🚭 Say no to smoking
💤 Quality sleep every night

Small daily choices = a stronger, happier heart.

Love deeply. Live fully. Take care of your heart. ❤️
