At this time we have again clinical and office staff with symptomatic COVID-19 not able to work.

Patients are being admitted to local hospitals with COVID-19 and Influenza A as cause for admission.

If you have COVID-19 symptoms you should avoid contact with others and follow current guidelines:

The Government has declared a Bank Holiday on Monday 19th September 2022. Sidley Medical Practice will be closed to enable staff at our practices who wish to take time to offer respect, share in the experience of the State Funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II to be able to do so.

There will also be significantly reduced hospital and community services which means we have to stop phlebotomy and other screening services that need laboratory testing.

There are unplanned childcare requirements with closure of schools and nurseries which means staff will not be able to work for these reasons. Local transport services will be altered and may not be able to support patient needs for routine care.

We are mindful of prearranged appointments and are contacting patients. NHS Sussex is planning additional urgent care support and services, please ring 111 if you have any urgent care or medical need.

COVID-19 REMAINS A PUBLIC HEALTH RISK TO OUR PATIENTS AND STAFF
At this time we have staff with symptomatic COVID-19 not able to work and patients being admitted to local hospitals with COVID-19 as cause for admission.
If you have COVID-19 symptoms you should avoid contact with others and follow current www.gov.uk/coronavirus guidelines.
We ask that as the risk of catching or passing COVID-19 is ongoing as evidenced by the UK Chief Medical Officers, that we continue to follow our established infection prevention measures to protect our higher risk patients and keep our staff at work.
