We had someone visit the shop today, they purchased a Powerchair online a week ago, unfortunately it fell from the hoist on to the road and twisted the chassis and damaged the drive motor/gearbox. We will not get involved with these products now, we used to but not anymore. We find ourselves spending a lot of time trying to source the parts, time we don’t have. I understand not everyone has a lot of money however it can Be a false economy buying online. It needs to go back to Birmingham on a pallet, cost around £80 both ways. Now we are at £960, for £1200 we would have sold them an better chair, we could repair it quickly and no need to ship it half way across the country. We don’t like not helping people, we did look at it and tell them what’s wrong but there are limited options. This year we are being much stricter on what we do, purely because we are so busy we need to look after customers that have products from manufacturers we work with. We also want to reward loyalty so customers that purchase from us will get priority treatment and cheaper prices.
