We see how others service mobility aids, we carry out servicing to manufacture guidelines and some more. We are THE BEST in this area for servicing and repairs. With over 20 years combined experience Brandon and Mark are very thorough and good at what they do. We DO NOT use white grease some others use to make it look like we’ve done something. If you see white grease on your mobility aid please contact us and we’ll clean it off before it does more harm than good. Prices start from £70, price will depend on if you purchased it from us. The weather was awful, we took the dogs to Exeat, Seven Sisters Country Park. I’ve been going there for over 45 years, the pub was called The Golden Galleon when I was young. It’s changed too much IMO, restrictions etc, they have 2 mobility scooters but not from any local suppliers despite their claims they support local small businesses in their barn/shop. I could have supplied at least 4 equally capable scooters for the price they paid for 2.

Okay, Sunday morning chill time read 😂 I won’t be 😎 though as taking the dogs to Seven Sisters Country Park. I did this post on Saturday night.
We can deal with your insurance claims 😀. Once you’ve notified your insurance company we can normally do everything from that point. We are approved by the likes of Mark Bates and Surewise. We highly recommend Mark Bates, why? Because they make claiming so easy! We had an elderly customer in this week, they’d hit a post and damaged the scooter. They are insured with Mark Bates so I looked up the policy number and called them, I explained to the call handler that the customer wasn’t good at trying to sort this out and that they’d agreed for me to deal with it. I have to ask the customer to speak briefly to them, they explained what had happened, took about 2 minutes. We then got prices for the parts, sent them off by email and got an authorisation within minutes. No paperwork, no long waits just quick and easy for all
Oh and I use Mark Bates to insure my 3 shops, that’s how much I think of them.

If you have pneumatic tyres and have concerns about punctures we can fit ‘infilled tyres’, they’re regular tyres filled with a special compound. In most cases we fit them to portable scooters if the customer wants the puncture proof option instead of the manufacturer option. We do this as it is cheaper to replace them when they wear out as we replace the tyre, not the complete wheel. Over £100 saving on a Marlin and a softer ride. Less plastic waste too so better for the environment. It also future proofs it, if you ever need pneumatic tyres again it’s about £100 to change them back as opposed to paying over £300 for hubs etc. We always put you, the customer first and try to save you money.

If you’re getting your mobility scooter out after storing it for the past few months you may find some issues. Please DO NOT spray oil into the drivetrain, especially the motor brake. The motor brake is the bit with the lever you move to put it in freewheel. Also avoid the throttle, the it you push/pull to make it move. We had a call today from someone who said they’d sprayed WD40 into the brake because it had seized up. I’m sure you can figure out oil on brakes isn’t good. Please contact us for advice BEFORE doing anything like maintenance unless you’re confident in what you’re doing.

Sad to see another mobility company close after 10 years. Weekly we get calls and visits from people that have purchased products from online only retailers and had a negative experience. I even contacted an online only retailer to ask for parts to repair their product, not even a reply. They’re one of the biggest online sellers about and they obviously don’t care once it sold. I have said in the past we will not work on products from manufacturers we don’t have accounts with, this has reinforced my decision to do that. I only did it this time as it was an insurance claim. Buy cheap, buy twice. There are some good online sellers but do your research. At the bottom of the picture is a nice review received today.
