Ashridge residents loved celebrating St Andrew’s Day and this special Scottish tradition! 💙

We were truly honoured to welcome an incredible Highland duo who filled our home with the powerful sound of pipes and drums, proudly wearing the Scottish Royal Regimental tartan.

A wonderful celebration enjoyed by all! 🎶

Residents met a tree frog, millipede, baby snail, corn snake, scorpion, gerbils and more. With plenty of fun facts and hands-on interactions 🦎

“It’s like we’re on I’m a Celebrity!” Jackie said, residents can’t wait for the next session!🪱🐍

To mark the anniversary of Mickey Mouse’s first public appearance in Steamboat Willie in 1928, we hosted a Mickey Mouse tea party 🐭

Residents enjoyed classic Disney tunes, tasty Mickey-themed treats and lots of nostalgic memories ❤️

We finished the day with a cosy viewing of Steamboat Willie✨

Everyone got creative with colours, shared ideas, and enjoyed a relaxed morning full of laughter and Christmas card making🎄

Our Residents’ Halloween Disco was a spooky success! Everyone had a fantastic time dancing, laughing, and showing off their amazing costumes while enjoying frightfully good music and tasty trick-or-treat snacks 🎃

A big thank-you goes to Clive for his DJ skills and disco equipment! 🎶

It was wonderful to see residents, families and friends come together for a night full of fun and celebration. Thank you to everyone who joined in the Halloween spirit, you made it a fang-tastic day! 🧛‍♂️🧡

Residents Eve and Tony wished for an evening meal out, and care staff Natalie and Jess made it happen! They visited Bentleys Steakhouse in Bexhill, chosen by Tony 🍽️

They said they couldn’t remember the last time they’d smiled so much and have already requested to make it a regular outing, an evening full of love, laughter, and great food! ❤️

Our residents have been busy getting ready for Halloween with some wonderfully creative arts & crafts 👻🦇🎨

They made spooky bats, ghosts, pumpkins and witches using recyclable materials, paint, glitter and plenty of imagination! ✨🖌️

Residents had an amazing time today with a lively drum session by Stix Drummers, a local group who perform at bonfires and events across Sussex 🌟

Everyone got involved, creating their own beats and joining in a fun “call and return” game. Stix performed familiar favourites including Another One Bites the Dust and Pack Up Your Troubles 🎵

Residents loved trying something new and feeling the beat! 💃🥁

Residents enjoyed a wonderful “Trip Around the World” with entertainer Phillip, who performed songs from the 50s, 60s, and 70s... he even sang in different languages! 🎤

He had everyone laughing with his comedy, jokes and poetry, making it a truly fun-filled afternoon for all 😄👏

Resident Betty had a truly memorable day visiting and supporting her local football team, Hastings United! 🌟

Betty’s late husband Bill was a goalkeeper for Hastings United in the 1950s. Recently, Betty honoured Bill’s memory by scattering his ashes at the football ground, a fitting tribute to a true club legend 💐

As a lovely surprise, a special write-up was featured in the match programme welcoming Betty and paying tribute to Bill 💖

At half-time, Betty was invited to the Directors’ Lounge to view the framed memorial images, Bill’s original contract and his telegram, all beautifully displayed by the club ⚽

We were delighted to welcome Reverend Jonathan Fraise from St. Mark’s Church for our Harvest Festival Service. Residents, visitors, and staff all contributed to a harvest donation box for the church.

Reverend Jonathan led us in readings, hymns and the Lord’s Prayer, creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere. He then took time to visit residents in their rooms, offering personal spiritual support 🌾💛
