🧗‍♀️BRAVE NEW HEIGHTS 🧗‍♂️

Okay I think I may have gone slightly bonkers! 🤪 For all that know me you will be aware that this gal right here is someone who is scared of climbing up a ladder and holds on for dear life 🫣 well here goes……..

THE CHALLENGE- In June this year I will be putting myself well and truly out of my comfort zone by abseiling 90 feet down a building with the help of elite Royal Marines. The building I will abseil down is right next to the Royal Free Hospital (My Hero’s).

THE REASON- The reason I have chosen to take on this challenge is to raise money and give something back to the hospital that give/ do so much for me. Without the vital care of my amazing NET team that do such an incredible job at looking after me, I would not be in the position I am today. For that I owe them my life!

FEELINGS/ THOUGHTS- The thought of taking on this challenge fills me with nerves, but when I think back to when I got the news ‘you have cancer with metastases’ and then had to take on that gigantic operation feeling more scared than I ever thought possible, having to take on the 4 weekly injections, knowing I will never be free of NET cancer and never knowing what each scan will show those two tumours are doing inside me, that’s when I knew that after getting through each day, after taking all of this on that I will be able to take this on without a shadow of a doubt! Brave new heights I’m coming for you 💥💥💥💥💥

Scott will also be taking on the challenge so we will have two fundraising pages. We each need to raise £200, but we would like to go above that and raise as much as we can to help as many people as possible 🩷 Thank you so much for reading ######

In 2022 at the age of 32, I was given the life shattering news that I had Neuroendocrine Cancer. To make matters worse I was told it was a rare cancer that not many people knew about, not even the loc

We had a great session with Liv and the students from St Richard’s School. Thank you Equal Arts for organising these sessions, with several more already planned. It was lovely to see the students taking part and really enjoying themselves, just as much as the residents did.

Last week we celebrated Leonie’s birthday. She has a lovely birthday 🎂.
