Italian Morning in Our Home - Pizza, Music, and Smiles

On Friday, January 9th, at 11:00 a.m., the downstairs area of our home was filled with delicious smells, happy sounds, and lots of laughter. We had a wonderful pizza-making activity, and it was truly a special moment for everyone who joined us.

While the pizzas were being prepared, we played Italian music. The melodies, the aroma of fresh pizza, and the shared experience made the morning feel like a little trip to Italy. Residents and staff enjoyed being together, talking, laughing, and celebrating simple pleasures.

This activity was not just about food - it was about More...Connection, fun, and creating happy memories. The smiles we saw said it all! For those who could not join us this time, we hope these photos help you feel part of the moment, and we look forward to sharing many more joyful activities together soon.

What an incredible day of connection, flavour, and community at our Culture Food Exchange!

We got creative with a fun and imaginative craft activity recently...

The people living with us decorated hand-drawn vases on paper, adding colourful collage flowers — and to bring their artwork to life, they placed real flowers at the top, making it look like their vase was holding a fresh bouquet.

It’s amazing how a simple idea can turn into something so joyful and creative!
