🌟 Highwood Care Home 🌟

We’ve had such a lovely week so far! Our wonderful volunteer Shirley has been in teaching us British Sign Language (BSL) — with a special focus on food signs this time 🍎🍞☕️

Everyone had so much fun learning together, and it was fantastic to see our residents picking up new signs and sharing lots of laughs along the way. Thank you, Shirley, for another amazing and interactive session! 💛

🎶 A Special Visit from Mr. Peter Mash! 🎶

We were so lucky to have the incredibly talented Mr. Peter Mash visit Highwood Care Home!🎤 His beautiful singing lifted everyone's spirits and brought smiles all around. 😊

Peter's performance was extra special as he is a proud supporter of the Cancer Research charity, and we are grateful for his dedication to such an important cause. 💖

A big thank you to Peter for sharing your time and talent with us! 🌟 It’s moments like these that make our community truly special.

🌼 A Fun-Filled Day at Highwood! 🌼

Yesterday was a lovely day for our residents here at Highwood! We started the morning with our Gardening Club, where everyone got their hands a little muddy and their hearts full of joy tending to our plants and flowers. 🌱🌸

In the afternoon, we were treated to some fantastic entertainment from Dolly, one of our wonderful volunteers, who came in to play and sing for everyone. 🎶 Thank you, Dolly, for always bringing so many smiles! 💛

And of course, we couldn’t end the day without a celebration — it was Jo’s birthday! 🎂 Jo is one of our amazing Care Assistants, and everyone joined in to sing Happy Birthday and share in the celebrations. 🥳

A big thank you to everyone who made the day so special — our residents, team, and volunteers truly make Highwood feel like home. ❤️

🌟 A Busy and Joyful Day at Highwood! 🌟

It’s been a fun-filled day here at Highwood Care Home! This morning, our Kingsley community was full of laughter and energy in a lively balloon noodle bash 🎈💪 — plenty of smiles all around!

Later in the afternoon, things slowed down beautifully as Warren and friends enjoyed a relaxing QiGong session 🧘‍♂️✨ — the perfect way to unwind and find a little calm after such a busy morning.

It’s always lovely to see our residents staying active, connecting, and enjoying every part of the day 💛

We were thrilled to have Roberto back at Highwood for a good old Zumba session! His energy and enthusiasm always get everyone moving and smiling. 🕺💖

It’s such a joy to see our residents enjoying the music, dancing, and laughter together — thank you, Roberto, for bringing so much fun to our day! 🎵✨

🧁 Baking Fun at Highwood Care Home! 🧁

Our amazing Kingsley Community at Highwood Care Home rolled up their sleeves this week to bake delicious walnut and banana cupcakes for everyone to enjoy! 🍌🌰

A huge thank-you to Sarah, our talented Chef, who gathered all the ingredients and led the session — it was a massive success, filling the home with smiles, laughter, and the sweet smell of freshly baked treats! 💛

We had an absolutely wonderful visit from Roonie Sir, the Crooner Supreme this weekend! 🎤✨

Residents and staff alike were treated to classic tunes, smiles, and a fantastic atmosphere. Thank you, Roonie, for bringing so much joy and music to our home! 💕

Yesterday our home was filled with spooky smiles, creative costumes, and lots of laughter! 🦇✨

Residents and staff had a frightfully fun time decorating pumpkins, enjoying Halloween treats, and sharing stories that sent a few playful chills down our spines.

A big thank you to our amazing team and families for helping make the day so special — your warmth and creativity light up Highwood every day. 💜🕯️

It’s bingo time here at Highwood Care Home, and the competition is heating up! 😄 Our residents love a good game — full of laughter, a bit of friendly rivalry, and, of course, some great prizes! 🏆💫

Nothing beats the excitement of calling out that winning number — “BINGO!” 👏

💒 Celebrating Community Spirit at Highwood 💒

This week, we were delighted to welcome St Mary’s Church of England for our monthly service — a special time for reflection, faith, and friendship. 🙏✨

Afterwards, our residents kept the spirit going with a joyful choir practice led by Baz, filling Highwood with laughter, music, and harmony. 🎶💛

Moments like these truly highlight the wonderful community spirit we’re so proud of here at Highwood Care Home.

🎶 Starting the week on a high note at Highwood! 🎶

Our lovely residents enjoyed a joyful singing session with Steve on Monday morning — lots of smiles, laughter, and a few dance moves too! 💃🕺

In the afternoon, we slowed things down with a relaxing yoga session, helping everyone unwind and stretch out. 🧘‍♀️✨

It’s always wonderful to see our residents embracing each activity with such enthusiasm. Here’s to another week full of music, movement, and happiness! 💛

🌼 Gardening Club Blooms at Highwood! 🌼

Yesterday marked the first day of our brand-new Gardening Club, led by our wonderful new Activities Team member, Kerry! 🌿

We were thrilled to receive a very generous donation of bulbs from Dot’s granddaughter, Leah – a huge thank you from all of us at Highwood! 💐

It’s been a real team effort, with residents from both Grenville and Kingsley communities getting involved, sharing ideas, and deciding what they’d like to plant. The garden is already starting to take shape, and we can’t wait to watch it grow together. 🌷🌻
