Pancake Day won’t be sweet at Nature's Nutrition this year!

We’ve been working with on a simple fermented buckwheat pancake recipe to share with you. Our buckwheat flour works beautifully, or you can make your own using our organic buckwheat groats.

Fermenting your pancake batter has so many health benefits. The fermentation process breaks down complex proteins and carbohydrates, making them much easier for the body to absorb. The pancakes act as a prebiotic, providing fibre that nourishes beneficial gut bacteria, and they are also naturally low FODMAP and gluten-free, making them ideal for sensitive digestive systems.

Traditionally, Shrove Tuesday was a practical day for using up ingredients before Lent. We’re taking that spirit and applying it to these savoury fermented pancakes. It’s a great excuse for a cupboard and fridge raid - think roast veg, crunchy seeds, chickpeas, kraut, hummus, a drizzle of something spicy… whatever you’ve got to hand.

We have chosen organic fruits and veggies only grown in the uk with the majority of the produce coming from Amary Farm who are based in Lincombe, near Ilfracombe and Amary Farm's partners Bishops Farm in Kentisbeare, near Cullompton.

Why buy organic?
