Waterloo Care

Waterloo Care Comfortable home for residents with varying levels of Dementia. Waterloo House has 19 bedrooms and Avon Lodge has 15 bedrooms, one of which is a double room.

Waterloo Care has two separate residential areas, Waterloo House and Avon Lodge; both of which have their own communal lounge and dining room. Although residents are able to choose where they spend their time, and are free to use any of the communal areas. There is currently a refurbishment programme for the bedrooms, all of them will be decorated in modern light colours. We have 3 wet rooms with showers and two bathrooms. Every bedroom has it's own private washing facilities and a toilet. There are no visiting times, we are open 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We have a hairdresser who visits every week and residents can choose if they'd like to have their hair done. We're also visited regularly by a chiropodist. Every resident can be registered with our local GP surgery and our own Dr visits the home twice a week. We have a lot of entertainment in the home and have regular singers, dancers and exercise groups to the home. We sometimes have petting animals brought into the home and we've also had a puppet show, a wind group and various other forms of entertainment. 🌟 Employee of the Month – January 🌟

A huge congratulations to Pete, who has been nominated for our January Employee of the Month! πŸ‘

Pete was nominated by a visiting relative who shared some lovely feedback about the difference he made during their visit.

His kind, warm and humorous approach helped their dad feel relaxed and engaged, and they really appreciated how Pete took the time to learn about him as a person – not just his diagnosis.

This is exactly the compassionate, person-centred care we are so proud of at Waterloo Care Home. πŸ’™

Well done, Pete – and thank you for making such a positive impact on our residents and their families! 🀩]
