I had a lovely client in earlier who is unfortunately suffering with Fibromyalgia. I gave her a gentle shoulder and arm massage for 30 minutes. Sometimes anything longer can be too much.
How Can Massage Really Help
I know how tough fibromyalgia can be — constant aches, fatigue, and those flare-ups that seem to come from nowhere. It can feel like your body’s working against you, and finding something that actually helps is a challenge.
Massage can make a real difference. It’s not about deep pressure or pushing through pain — it’s about calming the nervous system, loosening tense muscles, and giving your body a chance to truly relax.
Every massage for fibromyalgia is completely tailored to you and how your body feels on the day. I use gentle, soothing techniques like Swedish massage, myofascial release, and lymphatic drainage to help ease tension, calm the nervous system, and improve circulation. There’s no deep pressure — just slow, mindful movements that allow your muscles and mind to relax. For some people, I’ll also include gentle trigger point work to release areas of tightness and promote better balance throughout the body. It’s all about comfort, care, and helping you feel more at ease — one step (and one breath) at a time.
✨ Here’s how massage can help if you’re living with fibromyalgia:
💜 Reduces muscle pain and stiffness
😴 Helps improve sleep quality
🌿 Encourages relaxation and eases stress
💖 Supports better movement and circulation
