Join us for a relaxed, friendly walk as part of our “Off the Mat” series - designed to help you move more, feel better, and connect with others, outside of the studio 💜

Back pain can slowly chip away at your confidence.

You might find yourself moving differently, avoiding certain activities, or simply feeling unsure about what is safe to do.

Our Strong Backs, Strong Minds programme was created to help change that.

This gentle 6-week course was designed by a physiotherapist to help you rebuild strength, understand your back pain better and regain confidence in movement - all in a supportive small-group environment - from our studio in Billericay, Essex.

Thanks to funding from Active Essex, the full course costs just £12 for 6 weeks.

Well done to our member of the month for December (yes, sorry, we got a bit behind with these!!!), lovely Carol (a.k.a. Hannah’s mum!)! 🤩 🙌

Lovely friendly instructors giving clear instructions of all moves that we do as the class goes along. Love that each week different equipment is used making each class different. The new studio is lovely and so are all the members in the classes. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, making classes very enjoyable.

On the outside, this job can look like a bit of a hobby…

A couple of classes in the morning, a few appointments, maybe another couple of classes in the evening.

But behind the scenes, last week looked like this:
✨ 27 hours face-to-face with clients (Pilates classes + physio appointments)
✨ 7 hours patient admin (prep, notes, exercise programmes, reports)
✨ 3 hours Zoom meetings about our systems
✨ 4 hours staff training
✨ 2 hours staff management conversations
✨ 2 hours writing staff competency training documents
✨ 2 hours writing and posting a job ad
✨ 1 hour reviewing and following up with job applicants
✨ 1 hour creating social media posts
✨ 1 hour writing class plans
✨ 1 hour practising Pilates exercises

So if I sometimes look a bit frazzled or can’t always stay and chat before and after classes or appointments… that’s why 😅 I’d genuinely love to - but right now there are a lot of plates spinning behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.

That said, I feel incredibly lucky to do work I love every day - helping people build strength, confidence and community.

And that makes the busy weeks worth it 💜

It’s official… We’re too busy! 🫠😅

Animated Physio is growing and we’re looking for a brilliant Physiotherapist to join our team in Billericay, Essex.

We’re searching for someone who genuinely loves (or is excited to specialise in) Pilates and Women’s Health. You don’t need additional qualifications in these areas yet - I’m happy to train the right person in our ethos and method - but a real passion for developing in them is essential.

Non-negotiables:
✔️ HCPC registered Physio
✔️ Strong interest in Pilates & Women’s Health
✔️ Available Tuesday and/or Wednesday evenings (that’s when our clients need us!)

We have full-time hours available, with flexibility if full-time isn’t right for you.

Loving how our reformer sessions are growing and becoming such a special part of the studio 💜

So far it’s been a very full-on year for me: balancing a busy clinical diary; running the business; and supporting our amazing team - which has reminded me how important it is to protect some headspace and step back a little where I can.

As we continue to grow, I’m looking to recruit another physio to join us - they’ll need to be the right physio - who must have a special interest in women’s health & Pilates. To meet the needs of our clients, some evening availability will be an essential part of this role too. If this is you, or you know anyone you think would be a great fit, please send them our way!
