Anti-Bullying Week 2025 will take place from Monday 10th - Friday 14th November, with the theme: Power for Good.

Every year, bullying impacts the lives of countless young people and silence helps it grow.

That’s why, this Anti-Bullying Week, we’re empowering young people to use their Power for Good to safely speak up and raise awareness when they see bullying, face to face or online.

Lasting change needs all of us. From playgrounds to parliament, our homes to our phones — we all have a part to play.

We’re proud to be a Veteran Friendly Accredited GP practice and to support our veteran community this Remembrance Day.

We know that Remembrance Day is likely to be particularly challenging for the veterans in our community and we want you to know that we are committed to effectively identifying and supporting your health needs.

As a Veteran Friendly Accredited practice, our team:
-recognises the importance of identifying veteran patients within our community
-understands the unique health needs that veterans may have
-strives to provide veterans with the very best care and support
-knows about the specialist veteran healthcare services that exist
-undertakes regular training and development to ensure we’re able to deliver the very best care to veterans in our community and meet the health commitments of the Armed Forces Covenant

If you’re a veteran patient, please do let us know that you have served so that we can make sure you receive the most appropriate and best care, if and when you ever need it.

The staff at the surgery will be observing the 2 minute silence at 11am to remember our heroes who gave their lives in order for us to have the freedom which we enjoy today.

Please join us in remembering them.

Please note that the surgery will be closed on 11th November between 1pm and 3pm for staff training.

We are supporting the Department of Health and Social Care and the
NHS on a new campaign encouraging all adults to take the Healthy
Choices Quiz. This health and wellbeing quiz aims to empower adults
to take control of their health by making small changes day to day.
Taking around 5 minutes to complete it asks questions about your
lifestyle in the areas of eating, movement, alcohol consumption,
smoking and va**ng, mental health and sleep. You’ll receive an overall
score based on your answers. This score indicates how your lifestyle
could be affecting your health and wellbeing.
You’ll also be directed to guidance and advice for areas you could
improve including a range of free NHS apps and tools. From a 9-week
running programme for absolute beginners, to an anxiety reducing email
programme, the NHS has a range of support on offer. Whether you want
to eat better, move more or sleep deeper, the Healthy Choices Quiz can
be your first step towards a healthier you.

The NHS Lincolnshire ICB is asking for your support in raising awareness of ovarian cancer — a condition that affects around 7,600 women in the UK each year, making it the sixth most common cancer in women.

We are developing a public awareness campaign to help more women recognise the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer earlier. To make this campaign as effective as possible, we need your help.

Please take a few minutes to complete our short survey and help us:

- Understand current awareness levels of ovarian cancer and its symptoms

- Identify knowledge gaps across our communities

- Shape clear, impactful messages that are meaningful

Complete the survey: https://lincolnshire.icb.nhs.uk/ovarian-cancer

Your feedback will directly influence how we communicate this vital information.
