Food sequencing is the simple habit of eating foods in a specific order to help support better blood sugar balance, digestion, and energy levels throughout the day.

Instead of eating everything randomly on your plate, try this order:

1️⃣ Fibre first – Start with vegetables or salad
2️⃣ Protein & healthy fats next – Think eggs, fish, chicken, tofu, nuts, etc.
3️⃣ Carbohydrates last – Rice, bread, pasta, potatoes, or sweets

Eating fibre and protein first can slow down how quickly glucose enters your bloodstream, helping to:

Honest post incoming… because that’s what this space is about 🤍

For months and months I’ve worked so hard behind the scenes to bring The Well Woman Method to life.

Learning. Upskilling. Investing. Planning.

All while working full time and parenting.

It’s been tough at times — really tough — but I’ve genuinely loved it. This project means so much to me.

The big showcase day was finally around the corner. The moment to share this ethos and everything I’ve poured my heart into…

And then… boom.

The worst illness I’ve had in years. Days in bed. Completely wiped out.

Honestly? I felt devastated. The timing felt so unfair.

I prayed to the Wellness gods (and anyone else who would listen 🙈) and somehow, on the morning of the event, I woke up feeling so much better.

And the day went beautifully.

Was it perfect? No.
Would I change a few things next time? Absolutely.
But for our very first event, I am so incredibly proud.

Then something interesting happened…
The moment the last person left and the door shut, I felt deflated. Emotional. Exhausted. A little sad.

I questioned everything I said. Everything I did.
I replayed moments in my head.
I felt frustrated that I’d been so poorly right before.

But that’s real life.

And if I’m being completely honest… it was also my late luteal phase talking. The hormonal dip. The emotional wave. The “why did I say that?” spiral. The uncontrollable moods.

This is exactly why I do this work.

Women need to understand what’s happening in their bodies. We need tools. Awareness. Compassion for ourselves in every phase.

I woke up this morning feeling clearer. Calmer. Positive. With a plan of action for the next event and so excited to get started with the incredible women who joined the programme.

We take each day as it comes. We ride the waves. We learn. We adjust. We grow.

And then last night, I received this message…

“I think menopause has got to be the single hardest thing that women go through and we need to be there to help and support one another… Thank you for doing this as I know many women will get a lot out of it.”

It was exactly what I needed, at exactly the right time.

This is why I’m doing this.

To help as many women as possible navigate this season of life feeling informed, supported and empowered.

That’s my purpose.
And I will fulfil it with honour 🤍

🌰 Vegan & Gluten-Free Energy Balls (Nut-Based)

These went down a storm at our Well Woman event at the weekend.

Rich, chocolatey, and naturally sweet — perfect for a quick energy boost.

📝 Ingredients (Makes ~12–16 balls)
8–10 Medjool dates, pitted
2 tbsp MCT oil
1 tbsp ceremonial cacao
1 tbsp cacao powder
2 tbsp almond butter
3 tbsp desiccated coconut (plus extra for rolling, optional)
1 tbsp ground flaxseeds

👩‍🍳 Method
Soften the dates
If your Medjool dates are firm, soak them in warm water for 5–10 minutes. Drain well.

Blend the base
Add the dates to a food processor and blend until a sticky paste forms.

Melt Ceremonial cocoa and coconut oil in a bowl over boiling water.

Add to the remaining ingredients:
Add MCT oil, cacao powder, almond butter, desiccated coconut, and ground flaxseeds.

Process until combined

Blend until the mixture comes together into a thick, slightly sticky dough.

If too dry → add 1 tsp warm water or a little more MCT oil.

If too wet → add a little extra coconut or flaxseeds.

Roll into balls
Scoop about 1 tablespoon of mixture and roll into bite-sized balls.

Optional coating
Roll in extra desiccated coconut or cacao powder for a finished look.

Chill
Place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

❄️ Storage
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Freeze for up to 3 months.

Tomorrow is our very first Well Woman Method event 🩷 🥳

So much love, intention, and care has gone into planning this special day, and I truly cannot wait to share it with you all.

My deepest hope is that every woman who walks through the door leaves with a deeper understanding of her health and wellbeing — feeling refreshed, empowered, and rejuvenated after our cycle-synced exercise session and grounding meditation.

We’ll be enjoying delicious food while learning how we use fasting and food sequencing to support hormones and energy.
We'll visit our health screening clinic to experience a snapshot of what we offer and how we assess your health. And of course, we will be announcing the winner of our Well Woman gift bag 🎁
