We’re Hiring – Community support workers (Self-Employed)
Join Heart in the Community CIC – Supporting Our Community in Thanet

Are you kind, reliable, and looking for a few flexible hours, working across the weekdays and weekends where you can truly make a difference?

Our home help services are looking for self-employed workers to support older adults and vulnerable people in their homes – helping with light housework, errands, companionship, and general day-to-day support. No personal care.

Please note:
This is a brand new service, and we are still building our client base. There is no guaranteed work to begin with – but as demand grows, so will the available hours. Ideal for someone looking to start with ad-hoc or flexible work, with the potential to grow alongside us.

What we offer:
Flexible, part-time work weekdays & weekends
Local work across Thanet
Support from a friendly, community-focused team
Pay starting from £14 per hour (self-employed)

What we’re looking for:
Friendly, trustworthy people with a caring nature
Experience helping others (personally or professionally)
Previous background in care or social care or NHS
Up-to-date training certificates (e.g. safeguarding, manual handling, first aid) or willingness to complete them
A DBS check or willingness to get one
Access to transport
