Today we are celebrating Diwali and learning about why People celebrate.
The Festival of Lights symbolises the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. For Hindus, this often specifically marks Lord Rama's return to Ayodhya or the worship of Goddess Lakshmi for prosperity.

We made table decorations and put lights up and some pictures to put up. Our residents enjoyed preparing for this day.

Photos do not do our lights any justice due to daylight

Today at Highfield we celebrated and gave Thanks at our Harvest Festival with All Saints Church.
We got together with residents and families to arrange a care package for those in need in our local parish. Once bagged up we had five big shopping bags for Rev Mark Ham and Lorraine Bant to deliver to the local food bank, Store house, Birchington.
