Help improve NHS appointments for people with disabilities.

Wirral Council is running a survey about annual health checks as part of its All Age Disability Strategy, a plan developed with local people, carers and health and care services to improve health, wellbeing and access to support.

The survey looks at people’s experiences of GP appointments and annual health checks, including how easy they are to access and understand.

If you have a disability, or support someone who does, you can share your experiences.

Your feedback will help services understand what is working well and what needs to improve.

Take the survey here: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=slTDN7CF9UeyIge0jXdO45vfJv2Uih5MjuvoLN89YUhUNTJHQkdKMkdMRThQNVY1UU9KOTVROTBaMC4u

You can also scan the QR code below to access the survey and an easy read version is also available.

Jen and Caroline, cardiac rehab team leaders are looking forwards to speaking at the Cheshire and Merseyside event to share the benefits of cardiac rehab for those with heart failure to non-specialist healthcare professionals and how to emsure their patients are referred to programmes.

In April we will be running a number of Heart Failure Masterclasses for non-specialists to allow healthcare professionals to upskill themselves with specialist knowledge around Heart Failure.

This will give healthcare professionals additional skills to be able to identify patients who present with symptoms of Heart Failure and provide them with the specific care that they need.

The team received a beautiful card today from someone who recently completed the programme. We love hearing how much we have supported your journey following a heart event and wanted to share this for others who may be at the beginning of their journey to provide hope.

🟣 A big thank you for all your care and help given at the classes, and to say how much it helps over time after feeling very weak and in a state of shock after having a heart attack.

You all help such a lot to help regain confidence, and reassure when we had worries, so that we could do the things we didn't think we'd be able to do again!

You all do a wonderful job and are 'life lines' to patients when we've been discharged, but feeling alone suddenly in the community.

We are very lucky to have this opportunity for the classes and for all the staff who run them. A big thank you, a very grateful patient 🟣
