This client had Smp from a previous provider but wasn’t happy with the hairline as it was to straight and prominent.
I personally would recommend getting laser removal for bad smp and to start fresh for the best result.
In this case we managed to soften the hairline by scattering ink impressions to break up the straight hairline and blend all the dark deep impressions. We still need to work on his hairline to camouflage his old Smp from showing through but it’s looking much better already and looks more natural 😎.

For males who want density, we recommend shaving your hair down first so we can match the ink shade to your existing hair stubble and blend it properly so it’s all consistent across the scalp. You can then grow the hair out again after your last session of Smp.

After 2x FUE hair transplants ( follicular unit extraction) as you can see in the pictures, it has left puncture scarring we’re hair follicles have been removed from the back & sides of the head and replaced on top of the head. We then fill in those scar spaces with Smp by implanting tiny ink impressions which replicate hair stubble and will blend with existing hair stubble on the back and sides. We will gradually go darker and more dense on sessions 2 & 3 to complete this treatment. In this case 2x hair transplants combined with scalp micropigmentation (Smp) has worked well together but the majority of people who have hair transplants don’t get enough hair density from the transplant. In my opinion Smp is the only guaranteed hair loss treatment that works and would be my first option before getting a hair transplant that isn’t guaranteed to work and will leave you with scarring and you will also have to take a low dose of finasteride medication to avoid further hair loss.
