As part of Improvement For All, we’re delivering QSIR Foundation Training on 14th April at Arrowe Park Hospital.
Open to colleagues across Wirral NHS Hospitals - Arrowe Park & Clatterbridge Staff WUTH and Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, this full-day accredited course supports staff at all stages of their improvement journey.
You’ll gain practical tools and techniques to lead and support quality improvement work, helping to make a meaningful impact in your area.

Arrowe Park Hospital is reviewing how breast milk is stored, labelled, and shared with parents across the Maternity and Neonatal wards.
We invite parents to share their experiences to help us make the process safer, more efficient, and family-focused.

✨ Improvement for All – Shared Learning Forum ✨

Yesterday, we came together for our Improvement for All Shared Learning Forum to reflect on the great work achieved across Quarter 2 and Quarter 3. It was a fantastic opportunity to share progress, celebrate successes, and learn from each other’s experiences.

A special thank you to Rob from Ophthalmology, who shared an inspiring overview of his improvement project. A brilliant example of how small changes can make a big difference.

✨ Yesterday we hosted our very first Brewing Connections session!
Our Improvement Connectors popped into the Improvement Team office to meet each other, share their brilliant ideas, and chat through how we can help turn those ideas into real change. We offered guidance, tools, and plenty of support and the energy in the room was just lovely.
A huge shoutout to Deb from the Improvement Team for the homemade cakes (they did not last long 😄). It was a fantastic first session with great conversations all around.

Another brilliant session today, this time with the latest Managers Essentials Training group! 🎉
Our team introduced the PDSA (Plan, Do, Study, Act) cycle, a practical approach for testing ideas and learning from change.
To put it into practice, we ran our popular coin-spinning challenge, which sparked some great discussions around data, testing, and continuous improvement.
It was fantastic to see everyone’s creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving in action as they refined their approach each round.
A big thank you to everyone who joined in, your enthusiasm for improvement really shines through! 👏

Today we had a great session with the Managers Essentials Training Group!

Our team introduced the group to the PDSA (Plan, Do, Study, Act) cycle, a simple but powerful tool for testing and learning from change.

To bring it to life, we ran a fun coin-spinning activity that got everyone thinking about data, testing, and iteration. It was brilliant to see such enthusiasm, teamwork, and creative problem-solving as managers experimented with ways to improve their results each round!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, it’s fantastic to see so much energy and curiosity for continuous improvement across the organisation. 👏
