This week, West Midlands Hospital had the pleasure of hosting two visiting surgeons from Hungary: Dr. Csaba Gombar and Dr. Gellert Sohar, both from the University Hospital in Szeged. They were joined by Mr Péter Turnai from Smith & Nephew Hungary and Professor Davis, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who works at both West Midlands Hospital and Stourside Hospital.
The team observed our CORI robotic system in action and witnessed one knee replacement and three hip replacements alongside Professor Davis. They expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to learn not only from Prof Davis’s surgical expertise, but also from the overall theatre setup and the seamless coordination of our staff.
Their visit provided valuable insights that will undoubtedly enhance their own surgical practice and benefit patients back home in Hungary. The Hungarian team also shared their gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by everyone at West Midlands Hospital.
