This week we found a big beautiful bumblebee at Grow and Play ! She wasn't moving much, not even to tell us she was scared, so I carefully picked her up and popped her onto a blue flower. After we'd tidied up and the kids had gone home I went back to check on her. She'd fallen off the flower and was laying on the ground in the shade, so I picked her up again hoping the warmth of my hands would help and moved into the sun. A while back my husband bought me a keyring from Beevive with a sugar water capsule in, I went and got that, opened it up and placed it in front of her antenna, feeling quite spetical, but hopeful I waited... and to my delight she got up and had a good old drink, it was so fun to see her tongue !! She started moving, vibrating her flight muscles and after a few minutes flew off !! Really made my day 😎

A gorgeous snowy morning with this tribe of Grow and Players today! We explored the allotment, had snow races, found loads of fox, cat and bird tracks and tried to break ice in a bucket - but it was so thick we couldn't get through!
