🎄✨ We’ve had the BEST December ever at Metchley Manor! ✨🎄

December has been bursting with entertainment from start to finish. From fantastic performers and lively activities to laughter, music, and endless energy, our home has been filled with joy every single day. What made it even more special was seeing our families getting involved and joining in the fun 🎶🎅🏼🎄👏🏼

Alongside all the fun, we were also proud to raise funds for The Edwards Trust, a charity very close to our hearts. Thanks to the amazing support from our residents, families, staff, and the wider community, we’ve been able to give back while creating unforgettable memories. We had our 3 resident ambassadors, Abdel, Bill and Peter, picking out the winning tickets and presenting the lucky winners with their gifts🎁💜

A huge thank you to everyone who donated,your generosity, enthusiasm, and community spirit truly made this our most memorable December yet. Merry Christmas to you and yours from the whole team at Metchley Manor💛🎶🎅

🎄🎅🏼 A perfect day of making gingerbread houses and celebrating a very special birthday 🎄🎂
Our residents had a wonderful time getting creative, with a little festive Baileys and cheer along the way.

A huge Happy Birthday to our very special resident Bill 🥳🥳. Bill is so engaged and always the first to be singing, dancing and smiling, full of energy and character, always lighting up the room. A true legend in every sense.

Special mention to Chef Scott 👨‍🍳 for the outstanding chocolate cake. Judging by the compliments from family, it was just as incredible as it looked 👏✨

🎶🎅🏼Metchley Manor Magic of music 🎶

Yesterday we were wrapped in the smooth sounds of Sarah on the saxophone. Today, the home came alive with steel pans as we celebrated a Jamaican Christmas with Mighty Jamma 🇯🇲🎷🥁

Different styles, different rhythms, one shared joy. Music has a beautiful way of bringing everyone together, filling our home with smiles, movement, and moments to treasure. Every note reminded us just how powerful and uplifting music in all its forms can be. We love our home of magical music 🎶🫶🏼🙏🏼🏡🎅🏼💜

✨ 🎄It’s the little things that make all the difference 🎄✨

This Christmas reminded us why what we do matters so much. One of our residents was deeply upset that we didn’t yet have a nativity on display. For her, as a devoted Catholic, the nativity has always been at the heart of Christmas, something she lovingly shared year after year with her children.

When we brought one in, the change in her was truly beautiful. Her joy, her comfort, her sense of home returned in an instant. It wasn’t just a decoration, it was a lifetime of memories, faith, and tradition being honoured.

Moments like these remind us that it’s often the smallest gestures that have the biggest impact. 🎄🎅🏼💛🏡

What a cracker of a Christmas Fair at Metchley Manor 🎅🎄

We had it all… Delia the donkey stealing hearts, Santa Claus spreading cheer, an elf causing festive fun, Olaf popping up with plenty of smiles and Treats tempting us all with a stand full of gorgeous Christmas goodies. Pure festive joy from start to finish 🎄🎁

Finishing off with festive singing from Andante, mince pies and mulled wine🎶🍷

Best of all, the day was about giving back. Thanks to everyone’s generosity and help, we spent the day raising money for the wonderful Edward’s Trust, supporting a charity close to our hearts💜
Huge appreciation to everyone who came along, donated, sang, smiled, and made the day so special Christmas spirit well and truly delivered 🎄💫🏡🎅🏼🌟

🎅✨ Santa’s helpers were on a mission today! ✨🎅

I headed out with my very own team of Santa’s helpers and we headed for the QE Hospital armed with festive gift bags and the best cookies in town! 🍪🎁

We loved spreading a bit of Christmas sparkle to the elderly and dementia wards a small gesture to brighten the day for the patients and incredible staff. ❤️

Nothing beats sharing joy at this time of year. Thanks team, Bill and Wesley for helping. 🏡💜💛🎄✨

✨ A Truly Enchanting Afternoon at Metchley Manor ✨

We had a harpist, Audree, join us today and honestly it was so blissful. 🎶💛
Beautiful music drifting around the lounge with everyone relaxing into it. 🎶🪉💛

It was one of those afternoons that felt calm, cheerful, and really special.

Thank you, Audree, for the lovely conversations throughout and for getting the residents involved with instruments too they absolutely loved it!

We can’t wait to see you again in the New Year. ✨🎶🪉🏡

🎄✨Christmas Fair – Next Sunday 14th December ✨🎄11am until 4pm 🧑‍🎄🎅🎄

Our residents have been getting into the festive spirit as we prepare for our Christmas Fair next Sunday! They’ve been busy creating adorable reindeer food packages and making up cosy hot chocolate & marshmallow packs to bring a little extra warmth to the day.

We’re thrilled to share that we have some incredible prizes up for grabs this year, including generous vouchers kindly donated by The Plough in Harborne and Cake & Couture.

There will also be a lovely variety of stalls offering festive treats and gifts—perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit.

We will be proudly raising money for Edward’s Trust, a charity close to our hearts 💛.

Our residents are so excited to welcome families and friends. Everyone is welcome, and we can’t wait to celebrate the season together.
