✨🌲🎉 What a perfect way to begin our month of Christmas festivities! 🌲🎉✨

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Audley Retirement Village to Metchley Manor for a heartwarming carol service.

Jean led the vocals for our carol singalong, inviting everyone to join in the festive spirit, all beautifully accompanied by an amazing CBSO pianist.

With mulled wine, mince pies, and plenty of smiles, it truly felt like the perfect start to our Christmas.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create such a special afternoon. 🥳🌲🍷🏡💜

🥳🎉A huge thank you to John Homer for coming along today to entertain our residents! 🥳🎉

John …..historian, President of West Bromwich Albion supporters club and a Black Country Museum tour guide. John treated us to a brilliant (and very funny!) talk and sing-a-long on the history of the Black Country. 🏭🖤

Our residents absolutely loved it — from the tales, to the trivia, to the proper Black Country charm, that only John can deliver! 😄

Thank you again, John, for bringing history to life and giving everyone such an enjoyable morning. We can’t wait to have you back in the New Year 👏✨

💛Celebrating Our Outstanding Reminiscence Neighbourhood 💛

We are incredibly proud of the care, attention, and heartfelt dedication our team pours into every detail within our Reminiscence Neighbourhood. From personalised support to meaningful daily engagement, our residents are met with compassion, understanding, and dignity at every turn.

This is why we take such extra-special care creating each of our reminiscence stations — from posting a letter at our vintage post box to exploring tactile, sensory corners inspired by treasured memories. These spaces give our residents the freedom to connect, reminisce and engage in activities that support their physical, emotional, cognitive and social wellbeing. Most importantly, they offer purpose, joy, and moments that truly matter.

Huge shout out to our incredible Reminiscence team We salute you all🫡🏆🏡💜

🎉 We’re Proud to Announce… We Are Now a Veteran Friendly Home! 💙

We are delighted to share that we have successfully completed the Veteran Friendly Framework application and have officially been recognised as a Veteran Friendly Home.
This is a wonderful achievement for our community, and we’re incredibly proud to strengthen our commitment to those who have served. By being part of this framework, we can ensure that veterans and their families receive specialised understanding, support, and care tailored to their unique experiences and needs.
As part of this commitment, we would love to welcome local veteran clubs, groups, and societies into our home.

Bringing people together is at the heart of what we do, and we truly value the opportunity to connect with the local veteran community.
We look forward to continuing our work in creating a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment for all veterans who choose to call our home theirs💙👏🏼🥳🏡 💜

🌟 **Metchley Moment **🌟

Today, we want to recognise Albert, who has been an incredible carer on reminiscense with us for six years. His unwavering positivity and dedication to going above and beyond make a real difference in our community. His big warm smile is infectious😁
He took it upon himself to clean all the outside terraces, creating a lovely space for our residents to enjoy potting.

Thank you, Albert, for your hard work, and for always bringing a smile to everyone’s face! We truly appreciate all you do 🌟💫👏🏼🏡💜

🌺Honouring Remembrance Day at Metchley Manor🌺

This morning, we began with a beautiful and heartfelt Remembrance service led by The Revd Sam Gibson, Vicar of St George’s church, followed by a wonderful singalong featuring classic war songs. Mr Favier recited the very poignant poem that truly captured the spirit of the day. It was a meaningful way to honor and remember those who have served. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this day so special. 🎶✨🌺♥️🏡
