As a parent to a wonderful daughter with eczema and multiple food allergies, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to manage allergies, especially with multiple caregivers involved. That’s why I created Allergi-lert – to make allergy management easier and more collaborative.

Travelling and getting out of our usual setting can increase the risk of allergic reaction. Once you get used to the products, food and general environment in one area going to a new place calls for making adjustments.

It's useful to keep an orderly record of all your child's allergy care information for you to refer back to when looking for products and food that can be good replacements in a different location. As a parent of a child with allergies, I am passionate about empowering other parents who are in the same boat as me to manage their children's allergies.

I am excited to announce that I will be launching The Allergy Communication Podcast where I will share my journey of raising a child with allergies. I also look forward to hosting other parents and the allergy community to share the effective allergy communication tips that we have learnt along the way!

Common skin allergy symptoms include rash, itching, redness, swelling, raised bumps, scaling (flaking of skin)and cracked skin. Communicating these with your child's teachers, babysitters, coaches, and other caregivers helps them to identify when your child may be having an allergic reaction.
